  1. I just looked through my CNA book, and it doesn't list specifically that you need two wash cloths. You're supposed to use a new one for each main body part (ie: face, arms, chest/torso, etc). In a modified/partial bed bath, you will wash only the face, hands, armpits, back, and peri area, again, changing wash cloths with each main body part.
  2. You're supposed to use a different wash cloth for the peri area, for sure.
  3. @woosp: Thank yo ufor letting me know that you had a positive experience at this college. I am incredibly excited at the prospect of attending this program, and can hardly wait until the day when I can apply. I drove to Van Nuys yesterday to check out the older campus. Unfortunately, it, along with the new campus, were closed because they are transfering everything to the new building on Kester. Augh. So I guess I'll go during my spring break. Four weeks is a long time to wait, but I know it'll be worth it!
  4. Hi there! I have a some questions for those of you who attendend Casa Loma College in Van Nuys. What was the application process like for you? I know that there is an application available online, but can you apply at the campus? How long did it take to receive an answer on your acceptance? What was the meeting like with the admissions rep? Is there a way to study for the math proficiency test (I tend to melt down on math tests)? Are you allowed to get financial aid from whatever institution you want, or do they have their own lendors? What is the meeting for with the faculty advisor? What do they advise? There are so many more questions, but I'll save those for later, assuming I am accepted into the program. :)
  5. Thank you for your help! Have a great evening.
  6. I think that that is great considering how full the schools in the Pasadena area are. I would rather pay the $20,000 something and have that capability to work and go to school at the same time. I'm only 19, but I'm not going to have the stamina forever. :)
  7. I would rather go into the program knowing that I need to spend only one or two semesters at community college if it means getting into a program with experience. I'm half way done with my prereqs right now, but I would be really impatient if I have to get on a waiting list. At least I would be able to work as an LVN, right?
  8. @Caliotter3: Thank you for your quick response. That is just the answer I was looking for!
  9. I read in a different thread about the credits you earn in the Casa Loma LVN Program not being transferable. How do you go about getting into an RN program? Do you have to take the prereqs at the school you wish to attend, or are you able to get directly into the program based on your education at Casa Loma? Thanks! :)
  10. I am currently in the midst of completing my preqreqs for the nursing program at my college, which incidentally coincide with the prereqs for many nursing schools in the area. What I want to know is when I apply to the programs, will it be ok, in general, to apply during my last semester of prereqs (assuming I pass them all) or would I have to wait until I actually finish all of my classes? Thanks! :]
