  1. How is your experience in the Military CRNA school. I am a VA RN and looking forward to applying. How can I plan my transition ?
  2. Dear VA RN I have 15 yrs of ICU experience and GPA 3.5. How high should my GRE be to gain admisson. Thank you
  3. not quite sure. but be prepared to put chest tube for complications
  4. You are correct. Just Grad Stat and just read their website. No MCAT, etc, etxc,
  5. I think they are more worried of complications that may arise from it, and how you manage it- pneumothorax, hemothorax then chest tube insertion. In our facility CRNA do the CABG but MDA insert central line. Thats my 2 cents. I was just like you worrying about your scope of practice. Surgeons just have a different scope of practice as CRNA. The complication of putting it in is enormous and thats why surgeons prefer MDA to insert central lines. I am not so sure of others.
  6. Dear Rockabye Followed your advice. Currently taking Adv Physio/Patho. My question for you is how do you find the exams in Physio as there is just so much info to remember. What was the average grade for both classes. I am looking forward to enter by 2006, by then I would have finished 12 core courses. Will they consider me for an interview assuming I submit all my application for 2006 by 09/2004 ( way too early)
  7. I too just recently got married, but we postpone everything- celebration, etc my husband understands that we are in extreme financial limitation while I will be going to school. He makes the money though, I told him we can get married infront of a priest and do the celebration later. Just being pragmatic.
  8. [quote So many of this foreign MDs have dedicated their lives to the profession. I know of a surgeon who came from X country and has to repeat 5 yrs og Gen Surg Rotation, 3 yrs of Fellowship x2 because the US did not accredit the prior schooling he had form his home country. You are talking of 16 yrs from from age 22. We all have the same rights. So that whatever they may be- a tech, RN, dentist or MD from your home country, I dont see where the problem is. They want to better their lives too just like you. And if he wants to go to Nsg and CRNA, because he couldnt find a job as a surgeon, so what?
  9. Would you let me know what your qualifications are? I am very uch interseted in Gooding as well :rotfl:
