Relax girls! It's not so bad. On orientation day look for a couple of people on all nurses that are going into the semester with you. Exchange numbers on private email. I did that and it helped to sit next to someone that you have been conversing with.. As far as the fluid and electrolytes book you will maybe use that towards the end of first semester, so you don't have to get it and it's not required. The Taber's I used a few times. Get the required books on the list to start out. You will ost likely not use the nutrition book either. I never opened it first semester... check with some other people there are other books that are preferred over the books that they recommend for the lab book.... Good Luck to all!

I have nurse mates which are very comfortable. I purchased at Copy's. Other student's have purchased shoes from the mall, but cannot have symbol so be careful...

2Bnurse-1 How is it going. have you started your 1st semester yet. We just got finished our first semester and we are off to second semester. I will be studying over the summer to prepare. I'm not expecting that it will be easy.. First semester was ok, should of prepared a little better and have been more discipline with my studying. Well good luck, let me know how things are going.

Hey Mystical, Did you figure out what phone or palm pilot u are getting. What phone service do you have. I'm looking at the blackberry storm or a PDA. I need to figure out where that Clewiston Hospital is just in case I have to go there first. I saw Patten yesterday. He said mostly everyone got A's on the exam and there were some B's. I asked him my final grade he couldn't remember but thinks it's an "A". How are you doing in micro are you done.

My schedule is Skills lab Wed 9:00 to 11:30, Lecture wed and Thur 2:00 to 3:40, Clinicals Mon and Tues 7:30 to 1:30, and Pharm online. Not sure when I am going to be able to work. I work all the way in gardens. My doctor did say I can work on Friday and Sunday. I guess I am going to have to make it work. I hope you get in BCC, did you apply there and when would they start. I am glad I got the scholarship. I'm sure that everyone who read your online post thanks you to. What are you going to take next semester While you wait.

Hi 2bnurse, I know I have stayed away for a while. I had a lot of stuff to do. I got all my books. I swear they are about 2 1/2 feet high if I stack them up. I am done with everything I need to do just waiting to start. I am going to do the other scholarships anyway and see what happens. I only have one class left A & P Lecture. I can't even study anymore. I need this 2 1/2 week break badly. I'm going 7 semesters with out a break.........How are things with you?

I dont think so bcause they dont even cover the recommended books and I had to tke off all the syllabus they have a limit for books and the prices went up this semester

I told her and she is going with me tomorrow to workforce. I am going to pick up the vouvher for the books they will pay for all required books not recommended. There was only one recommended.

yes we are suppose to bring new school supplies, they help out some organization. I always end up posting duplicate messages by accident....I might get my books tomorrow

in the letter it said to bring school supplies, thay collect it for some group. I am bringing a new back pack bcause I had an extra one and I was going to put some stuff in it. I haven't looked it up yet but I will tonight. I havent studied yet i am trying but it is boring..........

Ok so everyone that applied at the LW campus, apparently they only took 70 applicants not 90. My friend called and this is what they told her and that it was unlikely that tey will fill the rest of the spots. I guess tat means 20 people got held back in first semester and that could be why the point system was so high. I think that is BS and they should of oped more spots ans allowed for the people that weren't passing. It sounds like that is why the point were so high the last two times. I think that is unfair for everyone else and they shouldn't say there is 90 or 24 spots then. That sucks............

Well I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! I have been busy entertaining company. I had 15 people over for turkey dinner and some company still here. Does any body know if they filled any more seats at LW campus.

Hey Guys, I had to stay off for the weekend or I do not get anything done. This site is very addicting. My classes had to be paid by Dec 2, The uniform is Navy blue. Well I am enjoying this weather to. Hope it is cold over Thanksgiving day. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Driver02, It's a urine test. nothing allowed in bathroom with you and you can not flush or wash or hands until the person checks everything and no garbage can in bathroom either... You have to go to NMS to have it done
