It's so sad that your facility is like that... Our hospital pays for overtime. I don't know what to say cause I've never had that experience in 5 yrs of nursing. I hope it gets better, otherwise go somewhere else where you'll love your job. I couldn't work in those conditions. Have you asked your preceptors or manager about what THEY suggest you should do? How many patients do you have under you? Are you in the Midwest or East Coast? I know that unions and laws are SO different than here in the West Coast. Hope you find your answer. I'd like to see what others post.
i know EXACTLY what this story is saying ~ i'm a transplant/surgical ICU nurse myself, and while BEING able to do things to help people stay alive, it's CRUEL and IMMORAL to do so, especially when the patient him/herself stated it in the living will. the daughter is a monster! & i've met many like her!
Has anyone heard of, or is/was in the program for either RN-BSN, or RN-MSN through The College Network? I'm thinking of doing this program. It seems reasonable and priced well. But does anyone have any insightful info for or against the program? Thanx ~ John
