Every facility is different. VA likes to see what you've done to improve self (N1), the unit (N2), and the facility (N3). We have RNs who have over 30 years and are still a Nurse 1. Focus on the 9 dimensions of Nursing.
Good luck!
Have you looked at your past review and worked on the dimensions that you have not met? Every board is different. They do like to see goals and outcomes. Include how you were an integral part in meeting your unit's goals for HAPI, Falls, Behavioral, Pain, etc. Start your own committee within your unit. It is a very difficult process and stressful. Good luck!
S4 or SD102... Is there ANY way to get a TOEFLs waiver? I am a US citizen - foreign grad. Even took my GRE's 2 yrs ago thru ETS before deciding on a career change to Nursing. I know that it is a requirement for NJ BON but it does seem silly to take a pretty basic English proficiency test when I got a decent verbal score on the Grad School level. I'm sure ETS should have my test scores on file. I've searched through all the FAQs on the appropriate websites but this issue isn't addressed. I am still currently abroad so it's not that easy to make the necessary phone calls (let's not forget NJ Bon is not the best in customer service nor with replies) Thanks.
