  1. It's in an insurance office and it's for utilization review/quality. I think I will enjoy this but might miss seeing the patients. Maybe down the road I can find a job like this to do home visits? Thank you :)
  2. Hi there! I have an interview for a Nurse Case Management job at an insurance company this coming week. I've worked 6 years as a floor nurse and I'm ready for something new. I would like to know more about it-likes/dislikes and what a typical day is like. Thanks so much!
  3. I'm 5'1 110lbs, I wear Grey's and Koi mostly. But I recently found this brand that feels just like Grey's but fits amazingly. It goes down to XXS and is so form fitting! It's called Sanibel. It was at my local scrub shop, but they are also online.
  4. I haven't read all of the comments, but I'm sure some are like mine. Please do not give up! We are rooting for you! And if your man is going to be like that, its time to say goodbye. People out there need you and its very rewarding. I had to work at my old job as a diet aid for 2 months to save money before I moved across the U.S. somewhere where I knew no one or anything! I applied to 8 nursing homes, 5 hospitals and I went there everyday. Now 6 yrs later, I have worked in SNF, ICU, stepdown, Neuroscience, Ortho, Cardiac. I felt just like you my last quarter of nursing and my instructor said you will get a job. There's so many jobs out there- clinics, homecare etc. You will get one
  5. I just moved here from another state about a month ago to Virginia Beach. I also am a RN New Grad and am experiencing that no one will hire New Grads! I have been to every hospital in the Hampton Roads area, talked with recruiters and applied to several SNFs all to receive the same answer, " We are not hiring new grads at this time." I am loosing hope that I will never get a job working in my dream career. Does anyone have any advice or ideas where I can look for some experience or a new graduate RN position?
  6. If you're still going to get your RN...It's a great idea to do a CNA course, and being a CNA is not just dirty work..it's very rewarding and you will get a glimpse of what RNs do also. I am half way through the nursing program. It takes a lot of dedication to become a RN so make sure it is what you really want. Once you're an RN you will have a huge variety of job specialties to choose from!
