  2. i have been selected for that audit. i passed the police clearance which is particularly for overseas purposes but my sister in aus said that nbi clearance will do.
  3. congrats!!!! you did it! :yeah::yeah::up::yeah:
  4. well, i was trying to cut cost so i used the regular, snail mail. i asked them to send it 2 weeks before i send my application.i will surely avail fedex/dhl this time.:d:d
  5. i just received my assessment letter from qnc this morning and it states that my application is incomplete. i lack the verification/certificate of good standing from prc, which i have requested from them to send it directly to qnc long before i pass my papers, assuming that it will take longer for them to send it. and unfortunately for me, it looks like my verification hasn't been sent yet. i guess i need to ask for another one this time.haayyyy:mad: i have until sept. 16 to pass it.
  6. my sister filed it March 20 and my acknowledgement letter was dated March 23.i hope all the papers i passed are sufficient enough. haaayyyy:nurse::nurse:
  7. as for me, it's been 3 months since i received my acknowledgement but i still havent heard from them.
  8. hi guys! i know this is kinda out of topic but i 'm just curious. i watched "imbestigador" last night and one of their feature stories was sawsee intl. the owner of sawsee was arrested because of illegal recruitment, although they initially said that they are not a recruitment agency. 3 people filed complaint against them, they are not nurses. i think they're more like hospitality and tourism students. they claim that sawsee promised them a student visa but after almost a year waiting and 100 plus thousand pesos they still dont have student visas and the job promised by the said firm. :nono: have we heard anything from those people here who have signed up at sawsee?
  9. i already passed my requirements in qld, i'm just waiting for the result of my assessment. i plan to buy the 3 books from sulit and i have with me here a copy of the australian nursing act of 92, their code of conduct, code of professional conduct which i have downloaded from their site and also my funda and ms books. if you really would want to go to qld, i suggest you send your papers soon for i think it takes around 3 months for the assessment from the date they acknowledged it and also we have to consider that national registration will be effective by july 2010 and we don't know what will be the changes by then.
  10. i think we're talking of the same thing, i found it in sulit also. i'm still reviewing for ielts while waiting for the results of my assessment in qld. i thought it would be better if i review the books sooner but then first thing first, i need to pass the ielts.

no problem, just trying to help. i know how hard it is to find a job so we should all be helping each other. and so much for the drama, :d:d i haven't heard of a weekend program. it's monday to friday for us. i think you have to complete the 320 hours to be issued the certificate.
  12. you might want to check this site. its a volunteer program for newly licensed nurses. hope this helps. http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph/about.aspx
  13. i have found someone who is selling the 2 books recommended for review (contexts of nursing, binan goonj and legal issues)for the challenge test part a. send me your email thru pm so i can send you his contact details.

it's 6 to 2 for am and 2 to 10 for pm. they will be the one to give you your shift for the whole 2 months which is if you start as am shift, you'll be for it the entire program. but i think if you have a valid reason in case you want to change shift, they will accomodate you
  15. icejo replied to micRN's topic in Philippines
btw, they told us that those who has undergone the volunteer program will be prioritized in hiring as a staff. hope these helps;)

i just went there with my credentials, the usual stuff, went directly to the training office and pass the requirements. letter of intent, diploma, transcript, rle breakdown, i'm not sure if the board rating and board certificate are also needed but i still bring it with me. i think they're continously accepting volunteer because it's only for two months. as for the uniform, we wore our school uniform.white pants, white blouse, white shoes and you will use your license as your id so bring it with you also. you will have your orientation on the first day anyway, so all the details will be discussed there.

hi! i was a volunteer nurse there last november til january. we were placed in 4 different areas in a span of 2 weeks for every area. no fee was collected and after the volunteer program, they issued a certificate and we took their qualifying exam for the application as a staff nurse.interviewed after passing the exam.and now waiting to be hired. all in all, the experience was nice and was a learning experience.
  18. good day to everybody. i would just like to ask regarding the papers needed in qld. I have mine authenticated at DFA, the one with the red ribbon attached to it, my question is do i still need to have it notarized or would it be enough? or do i need to photocopy it then have it notarized? thanx!
  19. as from what most of the staff told us, there might be hiring this january and they will prioritize those who have undergone in their volunteer program.and of course it will be a big help if you know "somebody" from the manila city hall. there's something posted there, some sort of process in applying, you have to volunteer first for 2 mos then take and pass their exam and after that, interview. after finishing and passing all those, they will refer you to manila city hall wherein you will wait for an item as what they call it. there is no definite time as to how long is the waiting. some say it took 2 weeks, some say it took 6 mos.
  20. i think what they will give you is certificate of good standing but you have to have your license first coz the form you will be needing to request for it requires your registration number and date of registration which will be found on your license. but you could go there and ask them just to be sure.
  21. it's ospital ng maynila medical center corner quirino ave. and roxas blvd. where are you from anyway? it would be a lot easier riding lrt to save time and money of course.
  22. hi nurse pukyaw, the usual papers are needed.resume, transript, rle, diploma, board rating, board certificate, community tax certificate and letter of intent addressed to the medical director thru the chief nurse. you could send me your email ad so i could give you their names. i still won't be able to use the pm for i haven't had 15 posts yet.
  23. what can i say. i thought having to see a woman's nipple bigger than my toes are shocking.
  24. i will also be doing a training at another hospital after my 2 mos volunteer work. but these hospital requires an iv card so you also should have one. as for the fees, i still don't know.
  25. hello. i've been reading these thread. i am currently doing volunteer work in a gov't hospital here in manila while reviewing for ielts for i chose to go the aus route. the said hospital don't ask for fees. you just have to pass all the necessary credentials at their training office.my batch will end on january 23 and i think they will have another set of 2 mos of volunteer work after that. it's ommc by the way.
