Hi there, I am from Carrollton and I will be going to Brookhaven also in the spring. I have not heard anything yet about orientation or anything yet. I would imagine we will hear something soon. I have heard on previous threads that success camp is the week or two before school starts.

Hang in there Holly!! I had all of my courses completed, including support (all except End of Life) and I did well on the Hesi (91.85). The Hesi score is key if you are applying at Brookhaven as it is where the majority of your points come from. Don't give up, you'll get in!!!! :loveya:

I am shocked that all of you with 28, 29, and 30 points did not get in!! The past several semesters have all shown that 28 and above was good enough to get you in!! I am so sorry for all that did not get in. I was accepted; I had 31.42 points. Best of luck on the next go around, I know you all will make then! Keep your chin up!

Good grief the torture!!!!!!! Well at least they are still shooting for this week; I couldn't handle going into the weekend and waiting till Monday.

I just tried calling A.C. to hopefully get an answer on when emails would go out; I got a recording so she is either at lunch or perhaps swamped working on all of our stuff I emailed her asking when emails will go out; if I get a response back I'll post the info asap.

Has anyone received an email or by chance heard anything from the nursing office regarding admissions? I was told emails would go out early this week and it is now wednesday and I have yet to hear! I guess I am being a little impatient!!!

When I talked to her on Friday she said that they would be sending out admission status emails; "yay or "nay". She said, "emails would go out early next week" so I am taking that to mean Monday (which didn't happen) or Tuesday (today). I am so hoping they come out today!!!! I too am so nervous!!! I want to get my email but I know once I see it I am not going to want to open it for fear of rejection....going crazy!!!!!:hdvwl:

Alum08, I am trying to send you a message back but it tells me I am not allowed to send private messages..hmmm. But in brief response, this is my first time to apply; I worked my tail off this past year to get all my support classes (except End of Life) and did fairly well on the Hesi (applied with 31 points). I wish you all the luck; if you don't get in this semester (fingers crossed you do) you will have 3 extra points for the fall (just a few months difference) and you'll get in. Sorry I couldn't get back to you via message...do I have to have an upgraded membership???

Oh my gosh Alum08, me too!!!! I think I have check my email 100 times just today!!! Refresh...refresh...refresh. I am going crazy not knowing; she said early this week so I am hoping today or tomorrow. Everyone let us know once you start getting emails!!! Fingers crossed!!!

Hey all, I am just trying to update all the threads for spring 2010 as I thought everyone would like to know that A.C. at Brookhaven told me yesterday that admission status emails will go out early next week. Good luck to all!!!

She didn't say what day; just said to be expecting them early next week. I was so shocked by her response I didn't even think to ask more detailed questions. But then again, I don't think she knew yet exactly what day as she still has today for any disputes. I think you have a really good plan, get your extra point from End of Life plus your three, you'll be fine. Good luck!!!!!!

I hope, hope, hope I get in..I am just afraid that this will be THE year that points are really high and competitive. That makes two of us Alum08!! I was reading some of the past posts from previous years (for spring admission) and it seemed like everyone knew there status by mid November....I hope that is the case for us!!!

I just received my first email confirming points...one step closer now that I know my points were accurate and no problems thus far!!! I sure wish it was the email for admissions!!! The wait...oh the wait!!!

I applied to both El Centro and Brookhaven. I applied to El Centro with a 3.07 (took Algebra 10 years ago and got a C and didn't retake for higher grade) so I am pretty confident I won't be getting into El Centro. I applied to Brookhaven with 31.42 points so I feel more confident about getting in there; we'll see. Letters went out yesterday so everyone should be getting them today or tomorrow. I am not nervous because I am already expecting the rejection letter. Best of luck to everyone...anyone else apply to Brookhaven? If so, how many points did you have?

I am applying with 31.42 points and is my first attempt. I am so nervous I can't hardly stand it!!! The deadline schedule on Brookhaven's site says that we won't find out our admission status until December 11th; has anyone heard any different? I will go nuts if I have to wait that long!!! Who else applied? Does anyone think my points will be enough to get me in?? I hope so!!!
