  1. Hello Holly: I have applied to Northeastern/USAGPAN as a VA candidate. Just received an email stating my application package was complete in the office. Hopefully we'll know something by September. Good Luck To All! Edited by traumarus: please don't include individual's names - thanks.
  2. I would be honest with stating your 5 year goal to be in a Masters program, however, you do not have to state which area/concentration.
  3. I was upfront with the nurse manager during the interview, however, when it came down to asking for a reference, she refused. So I went to her boss, and he offered to fill one out for me. I would recommend keeping it under wraps until you have satisfied all pre-requisites, shadowing, etc... and are ready to submit your application, then ask.
  4. Many of these people have given up their dreams for fear of failure, or even worse, for fear of success. As they say, misery loves company and it makes them sick at the thought of someone else being happy and attaining their dreams and goals. Please do not ever give up on your dreams! As mentioned in another reply, let those discouragements drive your ambitions and determination even more. As someone who has learned the hard way, I've come upon many road blocks; you just have to go through them and don't look back. You will come to realize who your friends really are. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors, keep your head up and don't let them bring you down to their level.
  5. Hello everyone: I just found out yesterday that I have an interview at Gooding Instiitute in Panama City, Florida in 2 weeks. If you interviewed there, what type of questions did they mainly ask: personal or clinical. Examples of questions? How was the exam? What was your impression of the process? How soon after the interview did you find out? Were you accepted? Did you accept their offer? Current students: What is your favorite part about the program? Least favorite? Would you recommend this program to your best friend? Please describe typical day. Graduates: Did you feel the program prepared you well? Did you pass the boards on the first attempt? If you had to do it over again, would you choose Gooding? Why or Why not? Thank you so much, in advance! Of course you may add anything else you deem important to the subject matter. Sincerely, Desperately wanting to pass gas
