tests 1, 2, 3 are lower level questions on the trainers, but you did get over 65% on them which is great... question trainers 6 and 7 are the harder level questions that u will see on the real nlcex exam. Those are the questions you need to get right in order to pass the exam. Trainer 6 has 200 questions, and trainer 7 has 265. Take them... Kaplan says that scoring above or at 65% on trainer 7 is a good predictor of passing the nclex. I personally got a 58% on trainer 7 but since i ran out of time and couldn't schedule another date for the exam i just made sure i went over the questions and knew what i did wrong! you have till december, which is plenty of time...so keep doing the trainers and whatever u don't understand go back into the kaplan book and read the content! or listen to the lectures online if you have it, they were really helpful to me! let me know how you do on the trainers... your off to a great start!

i was a second time test taker as well and i used kaplan and i passed... i did the kaplan complete online which u can do in the comfort of ur home, available to u for 3 months! has content review and everything that can be on the nclex and also has a ton of questions, and not just any kind of questions, but question that are to the tee similar to what u'll see on the nclex, and since u've taken the exam before u will see what i mean! it is true that kaplan has not worked for some people, but i believe if u use their sources in the right way ( which they explain to you) u will pass!

I also took the Kaplan Complete Online... It worked wonders for me! make sure you follow their instructions.. the Questions trainers really predicted how i would do on the exam, and overall the questions found on kaplan are very very similar to the one's on the actual nlcex, which is a very good thing! For some Kaplan doesn't work, but it did for me and i took the test twice! first time i studied from nclex cram exam and a private tutor, but second time i used sauders 4th edition and Kaplan... follow their guideline, have faith in god, and YOU WILL PASS good luck, and shoot me a pm if u need help

Hi! Just found out today i passed! I didn't have any calc. questions on my exam and only 2 sata. Just try and relax, and i know it's easier said than done! i drove myself crazy for the past two days! good luck

oh god...i really think i failed... the more and more i think about it, the more i believe that i failed again... i mean the exam ended right around the same number as last time and that has to mean that i failed

hey i just took mine today as well... ... i feel nervous as well.... my exam finished at like 92 or 93... wasn't too sure myself.... this is my second attempt at the exam.. i'm sure u did fine, i hope we both did fine..lol.. good luck! i'll pray for good news on saturday for u n i both

ok so i just took the nclex rn for the second time... and it was a roller coaster to say the least. I saw completely different questions from the first exam. I had only 2 sata and NO math calc:confused:... not alot of meds, maybe 3 or 4.. :confused:and the rest were who would u see first or what would the nurse question, ton of physiology!... i don't know how i did... just like all the other souls out there! The computer shut off at around 92 or 93 questions, and the first time i took it the computer shut off at 98... so i don't know what that says... i'm so nervous, but one thing i can say is that i felt better prepared this time. I used Kaplan Complete Online and i have to say that the questions on Kaplan and what i say today and the previous exam were similar...' so my question to the experts on this site, being that 85% of first time test takers pass the first time, why is it that second and third time test takers have a lower percentage of passing? just curious:confused: anyone else take there exam today?? experience???? thanks and good luck to anyone taking the exam in the near or distant future!:wink2:

I'm nervous and scared and everything else inbetween.... i'm taking the exam for a second time , but this time around i really do feel better prepared. I moved myself out to texas with my brother to get away from everyone and concentrate on studying and passing! I used Saunders and also the Kaplan Complete Online course... i hope it pays off! I've done over 3,000 questions in the past 3 weeks and did a lot of content review... I could use some positive feedback and praying!!! thanks in advance! and good luck to others preparing for the exam or taking it in the near future!

ok so i'm going to take the nclex rn in two weeks. I brought the Kaplan book and did the 180 questions in the CD... i got a 62%, i looked at the analysis and the items i scored low on were physiological integrity and womens health. Then a week after i took the assessment test in the Saunders ed. 4 cd and i got a 64%. My question is, to anyone that knows, what percentage should i aim for, and analysis aside, is scoring in the 60's a bad sign or what? I committed myself to doing 150-200 questions a night. I use the Saunders CD, and i set it to study mode and selected physiological integrity and it has 3158 questions, so thats helping me, and i also read the womens health chapters in the book. thank u! and good luck to all those taking their exam soon, and congrats to all those that are registered RNs!

good strategy... just wondering how long did u put into this, as in how long for each phase... are u takin the Nclex soon? this looks a little time consuming

I'm sorry to hear, i'm in the same boat as you. I thought i studied enough the first time around, but it just wasn't our time. i'm planning on takin it again in a month, and i brought Saunder's and was thinking about using Suzanne's plan on this site, and i also have Exam Cram which has a lot of Nclex type questions. There is also a site Nclex 3500 that has questions, it's free... I have a month so i figure that the first week and a half or two i'll do content review from Saunder's n for the last two weeks just do anywhere from 100-200 questions a day, the more practice the better right?! Hang in there, you graduated from nursing school! You'll pass, just keep ur head up! and stay positive

I have to take the nclex for the second time : (.... First time around i took two review courses, one was free and the other held by my professor who has several published books. I also took private lessons from her. I failed. I registered again, and i'm going to take the exam October 23rd, so i've been thinking about taking Kaplan Online... do you think i should start now with it, or wait till three weeks before my exam, or should i take it at all??? I have brought Exam Cram, 4th Edition Saunders, Kaplan 2008-09 latest edition. Any advice would help, specially about the kaplan review course. Oh and when i got my letter saying i failed, all the sections came back as almost above passing level, or whatever it says... only two sections came back below passing level. thanks

I feel so horrible, everything was riding on this exam, and i just found out that i failed. i feel like a complete idiot. I studied extremely hard for it as well. I took private lessons from my professors who has published 5 books, one on how to pass the nclex, and i used exam cram, which i though was a very good book.:crying2: I don't know what to do now. I had a job lined up, i was supposed to move out and start this new life... aagghghhh... this sucks... Any study tips? Any books that is recommended? People that have used exam cram, did you find it helpful.... I would do about 150 questions a night for two/half weeks leading up to the nclex, should i stick to that? Any advice would be greatly appriciated:cry:

Thanks. i studied here.... my graduating class what 41 students... i know of about 10 that have taken the test and 5 that have failed, and thats just in my class alone... so that 85% makes it questionable, don't u think?
