  1. there are a lot of Colleges and Universities that offer MAN in the philippines...your job is to pick the school that has a good reputation and one that will enhance you as a professional...be careful with choosing your school because although they say it is MAN, it would seem unlikely MAN...
  2. i wouldnt claim that my strategy is absolute but it works for me ...i hope u can find some things you can use...and hoping you can share what you have too :redbeathe
  3. hey im taking exam maybe march of 2009 ...im still on Phase 1 so theres a lot to accomplish before i actually schedule :typing
  4. Congratulations !! Just curious, how did you study the 1st time you took the test?
  5. where did you buy the new edition of Saunders?

  7. (update) strategy phase 1 - extensive content reading with pre and post test with note taking on each content area. - all content areas should be covered before phase 2. - the objective is not to score lower than 70% on post test. - progress is reviewed. - the notes for nclex-rn exam should be reviewed again before proceeding to the phase 2. - tests are diagnostic. phase 2 - practice tests from cd roms in the exam mode with note taking as necessary. content reading is minimal. focus is on rationales. - the content of the test is based on a specific content area. - the objective is to obtain 80% correct scores on any given number of items. - phase 2 ends when all content areas are covered. - progress is reviewed. - tests are either diagnostic or evaluative. phase 2 will not end if evaluative results are not 80% or better. phase 3 - integrated tests are taken until a saturation of 85-95% is achieved. - phase 3 will not end until the objective for this phase is attained. - progress is reviewed. - each test should be treated as if it were the actual test at this phase. distractions should not be entertained. set or adapt to the environment when taking the test. environmental control may not be possible for phase 1 or phase 2 because tests may reveal rationale after answering and a need to understand the rationale is required; in effect, it would not simulate the actual test. there will be no smoking. - tests are purely evaluative. a grading system will have to be determined before proceeding to phase 4 (tentative: 30% diagnostic and 70% evaluative) phase 4 - an assessment for readiness to take nclex-rn. grading system from phase three will be taken into consideration. - level of anxiety and confidence is assessed as this phase will determine if there is a need to enrol in a review course. - a final test will be taken in this test. phase 5 - schedule the test. - scheduling the test should be done after decisions are finalized in phase 4. - make necessary arrangements 2 months before the test, that is, the schedule of the test should have already been finalized within reaching a satisfaction level in phase 4. types of testing preparation pre-test no prior reading is done. purely diagnostic. maybe be either content specific or integrated. assisted combination test (act) answering questions that are known and leaving out 2 guesses for questions that are not known. these guesses are based on critical thinking skills.post-test tests taken after content reading. the major component of this test is taken from chapter ender quizzes.post-test study tests taken after post-tests. the major component of this test is taken from cd roms' on study mode.integrated test tests that are not content specific.diagnostic test composed of all types of testing to determine weaknesses and strengths.evaluative test tests that are taken into account to assess readiness to take nclex-rn exam. example of combinations: diagnostic pre-test integrated, diagnostic or evaluative post-test integrated, evaluative post-test, diagnostic assisted pre-test
