Help with my first interview in a medical setting!
hey....im ashley i was in the same exact boat as you...literally. i am 23 years old new grad just got my license 3 weeks ago and my past jobs were a waitress and nanny. and i sent my resume to a ton of places around me and actually got a lot of call backs some weren't what i was looking for but i did go on 3 interviews so far and all three basically offered me the position on the spot. I guess they really need nurses and the interview is your time to win them over since you have no experience. and on 2 of the interviews they just talked about there facility and like job descriptions and what your looking for. and the 3rd interview asked me a bunch of scenario questions and all the standard questions....why do you wanna be a nurse, why should i hire you, strengths, weaknesses so i guess there all different but the place that asked me a ton of questions was the most professional and offered the best. Im in central NJ....im not sure where you are but i hope this helps....you will be fine!! they really need nurses and you can be picky...GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

LPN-RN bridge program?
oh oh first you said 2010 that's why i was confused.....any advise?.....i would say follow the teachers study guides, use the workbooks and the ATI books that comes with your regular books, they help alot. and try really hard in clinical and all ways be prepared for clinical because that will bring up your overall GPA and then you can bridge alot easier. Its alot of hard work but I still worked part time and still had time for my friends and stuff....its not that bad!! you will be fine its alot harder for the people that have been out of school for a long time and kids and stuff...your young you will be fine....good luck!! and dont worry about RN school til you get threw this!
