  1. i hope the math doesn't count. thats what has me really worried. guess we'll find out soon, at least i hope!
  2. yikes! so i'll either have a really good birthday (10/2) or a really bad one. hopefully its a great one!
  3. has anyone else gotten this other letter? i went away for a few days and returned to no letter in the mailbox.
  4. i haven't gotten that letter yet. i did get the campus choice one though. hopefully my letter is on its way!
  5. ellieann, there was a discussion about the letter in another thread. they're just sending the letters out due to southshore campus offering the nursing program. since there was not an option to select southshore on the application, they're just making everyone aware that it is an option! hope this helps! (trust me, i got excited too when i saw the letter in the mail and then found out later that they were just sending it to everyone else, bummer!)
  6. ooh, gotcha. well that puts me back to square one. thanks for the heads up!
  7. they calculate just pre-reqs but if theres a tie between 2 people then they'll calculate their cumulative gpa. so don't worry about chemistry!
  8. hey, no big deal. i'm just trying to figure out if this letter is a step closer to getting an acceptance letter! all this waiting is driving me nuts!
  9. i'm in riverview too! i picked southshore as my #1. if we both don't get it, i think we might have to carpool to another campus! whats your gpa? i'm trying to figure out if they sent the letters to everyone or a select few. thanks!
  10. mine is south shore. i'm in riverview so i'd be happier beyond belief if i got it. 2nd is plant city. i remember checking my bank account a few days after i submitted my application and saw that they cashed my check. thats the only way i knew they got my application. lol.
  11. thanks. it'd be so nice if we found out in august, rather than october or even later. i'm sure you're not freaking out since you've got a 4.0!
  12. kmarie, if you don't mind me asking, whats your gpa? i wonder if they're sending to prospects or just everyone who has applied. i know what you mean about waiting, the suspense is killing me. and now this rank your campus letter! they're torturing us, and i'm sure they know it!
  13. my heart skipped a beat when i saw the envelope with HCC on it. keep me posted on if you get one! (i hope you do!)
  14. did anyone get a letter in the mail to rank your campus placement preferences? :uhoh21: wondering if they sent it out to all applicants or if i actually have a shot of getting in!
  15. two questions! where do you find the status for health/science applicant? i'm new to hawknet so i'm not sure where to look for it. and what is everyones gpa's? just curious to see what i'm up against! definitely not excited about having to wait even longer to hear back. this is the only thing i've got going for me right now and the wait is killing me! i'm sure i'm not alone on feeling this way.
  16. oh weird. i definitely signed up to start fall of this year. i went to an info session last april or so and they didn't mention that. i guess with all the people applying they've changed the rules.
  17. did you originally apply for the fall 09 nursing program? if you did, you have to take the pharmacology class over the summer. i got my letter via email yesterday (since it was returned back to them via mail). pretty exciting!
  18. that was a definite relief! one more quick question, is this everything you have to turn in >> application for admission (if not a prior student), nursing application, any transcripts, background check consent form & check for $53?
  19. congrats!!! quick question, what was your gpa? i'm about to turn in my application for the spring and was just curious if i even have a chance of making it! thanks!
  20. just wanted to say thank you for everyone that helped!!! i took the test and made a 92 in the a&p section! way higher than i thought i would score.
  21. thanks for the link. i'll print it out while i'm out work, hehehehe. i've always been good in math but its been a while since i've done any problems. i'll definitely do some reading questions since everyone has been saying that same things about it. thanks again!
  22. thanks! i'll be sure to read carefully and take my time. did you have to take the a&p section? thoughts?
  23. did you use the hesi review book? and congrats on your scores. :)
  24. i get mixed reviews on that book. i do have it and have been refreshing on math. i'm making the stupidest mistakes on the math since its been so long since i've done any math problems.
  25. thats a little bit of relief. another lady that was in my a&p classes took the test and just made the cut off, which was 60. now they've bumped it up and i'm nervous since she's already an lvn and barely passed. i'll just review as much as i can before friday. thanks for all your help! have you already started a program?
