Phlebotomy Training
Hi, I'm also thinking of taking a phlebotomist course while I'm waiting for my LPN program to start. I saw that the average salary for a phlebotomist is $27,000. Am I missing something ? Can I actually take a 160 hour course and make $27,000 as a phlebotomist while in nursing school ? Thanks

What's the difference ?
Thanks for your help. I am interested in two schools. Both only have an entrance exam. There are no prerequisites at either school and both are one year programs. Maybe that's why I'm confused. Actually, I chose both schools because there are no prerequisites other than the entrance exam and both are one year and done. Neither is really a college but more like career centers for adults. Hopefully they will prepare me enough to get my license ! Now I'm kinda leary. Maybe those schools aren't the best choice.

What's the difference ?
Ok, i'm an older male looking to get into nursing. I think i want to go to a one year practical nursing program to start and hopefully after that continue online to eventually become an RN. What I need to know is, what's the difference between a two year LPN program and a one year program ? Couldn't I take the test to be licensed after a one year program ? I guess the two year program would give me an associate degree but is it needed if I would be licensed after a one year program anyway ? Isn't the license the important part ? I'm kind of confused so please help !!! Thanks

Thank you, that actually does give me some comfort! Actually I think we pinned down a school. Did you ever here of Career Technology Center in Scranton? It is a community college, but they said my husband will have no problem getting in.

My Husband Is Going To Be A Nurse...
We are currently living in FL where he will get his CNA cert. Then we are moving to PA. I heard that it is EXTREMELY hard to get into nursing school in PA. Is this true? My husband is changing careers and is 43, I heard he actually might have a better chance of getting into school because he is a male and his age. The person who told this to my husband is a Nurse. I found it hard to believe. Please tell me if this is true or not. I do not want to stay in FL for him to go to school here!!!LOL Thank you for your help in advance. Ann
