  1. Congrats! Im also in the same program in nc and Ive been trying to find a job for over a year! Good Luck..
  2. I have never had a dilute urine, but I have worked with NCBON in the alternative program and know your frustrations. All I wanna say is keep doing what you are doing and don't get to caught up in the back and forth with the board it will just drive you crazy! Just continue in your recovery and everything will work out. God Bless!
  3. ncrninwaiting that is a long time, I too am a rn in nc and I have been searching for work for about 6mths! It really does get frustrating when you continue to fill out applications and never hear anything back. We just have to continue searching (and praying) that a job will eventually come through! We've worked so hard and long to get our lives back in order, it just wouldnt make sense for me to give up now! Keep on searching, I KNOW I will! Good luck and GOD bless!
  4. @sissykim, I understand you are frustrated with some of the things the bon may require of you but do you realize in some other careers you don't get a second chance if you "mess up" so as for myself, I don't see following the guidelines set by the bon as "lying down and taking it". We actually would not even have to be bothered with them if it wasn't for our "mistakes, disease or whatever you choose to call it" do I like ALL the rules and restrictions these programs impose on us NO, but I know that it is what I have to do to get back to doing the job that I did indeed love DOING!
  5. I just received the same letter and I like you have lost EVERYTHING (car's already gone), can't find a nursing job so the increased price bothers me more than anything. Unfortunately we are not at a "negotiating table" with the bon and we have to follow the rules that they set for us. You have come this far don't let this new collection method stop you from achieving your goal. I agree with the others when they say fighting this is useless save your fight for something else!
  6. I have been in the CDDP with the ncbon over a year now and, ayneda is right the board here in nc, they are sticklers and do seem cold at times. Fortunately the person I have now as my liaison is..... pleasant which is a big change from the person I initially had in the alternative program. It is a very long hard road but it will be worth it in the end. You really do have to "fall in line" with the requirements they have spelled out for you because they have "zero" tolerance of anything (short of you dying)..an you may get penalized for that! Lol...Just make sure you stay on top of all the mtgs, reports, call-ins and anything else they tell you and you should be fine! Good Luck!
