Well, we stay in flowood. He goes to Flowood elementary right now. Did you try to get in at Holmes? That would be so much closer for you for both programs.

I would give it another 10 minutes further b/c it s in brandon not just off airport road like the pearl 1 is.

I am 29, married 10 years, 9 yr old son and I am a full time student, got accepted to Rn program for aug.'09

I had to go find the new building today, were the nursing programs LPN AND RN have been moved to. It is off of hwy 18 AND greenfield road and at 1060 commercial parkway drive. It is past the division of medicaid office in brandon, if you know were that is. It is about 8 miles for me and about only 15 minutes to drive. You just go down like your going to McDONALDS in Brandon and pass McDONALDS, you will see a Honda Place, right beside that is a turning lane to take you down greenfield road, go down this road, pass medaicaid office on your right and go LIL WAYS the road will have commercial parkway on your right and the building has 1060 on it- it's kinda hard to see from the road-it's back in there behind other buildings. Online classes are like $20 extra a semster hr to take. for example you take 12 semseter hrs online you would pay 20 x 12= $240 extra for taking online, so it is more to take online.

I figured I would start a thread, maybe we can all get to know one another or maybe get some advice from already nursing students.

What new rankin building?? Is it anywhere near the pearl rankin campus? I wonder if we take our classes there or at the pearl one for RN??

letmein2nursing-have you already registered for AP 2 lab/lecture yet? I wonder if I should do that ASAP?? I hope to take it online. Where do you live pearl, brandon, jackson?

It took the same amount of time 16 weeks-Jan.'09 till now April'09 a whole semester, now during this summer it will be like 8 wks. You have to really be dedicated to do online classes. I am actually a better learner on my own than in class. I will have to get used to going to class again with the Rn program. I am a bag of nerves already.

I am taking AP 1 lab/lecture online right now with Cecilia Thomas-she's a great teacher online. I will be taking AP 2 lab/lecture online but I think that will have to be the teacher Feaster through Hindscc.

I have to just take Human AP Lab/Lecture 2 this summer and be finished by my first clinical in August. I go next wednesday for orientation for the AA Rn program-I have to go to the NAHC even though I will be attending the Rankin Campus in August. I am a lil' nervous about this-wondering what to expect. Anyone else going next Wednesday??

I received my acceptance letter yesterday April 15th for the Rankin campus RN August '09 progam. Anyone else going there to? I live in Flowood so it will only be about 5 minutes away for me.

Did anyone else get accepted for the RN Rankin campus for August '09?

I thought Excelsior was an online program, I would like to be informed if it is not. I will not waste my time with it. I called my BON of MS and they do accept Excelsior to sit for the NCLEX. I am looking for a program to take ONLINE. Going to the clinicals out of state will not be a problem, I have more than enough $$ to take care of that. I want to be a RN to help people not because of the $$-I don't need it. Thanks for being rude, I will research everything myself. Some people are good people and just some are not. Whatever life goes on.
