I did accept a position at Memorial. The starting new grad pay there is 18.09. I was able to get a little more because I had LPN experience. I wouldn't mind picking up a couple of extra shifts in a clinic if you know of any. I can not work contract yet because you need 1 year of experience as an RN to do that. Thanks
Thanks so much. I heard about this hospital through a recruiter and was almost willing to take it. I am glad that I asked around about it because I would have been really upset. I wasn't really in a position to go down and visit before hand. Thanks so much. I feel comfortable with my decision not to take that job. They just made it sound so great with the sign on bonus and great pay. I knew that something had to be up. Good luck with the rest of your job searching
I used to live in Atlanta and went to nursing school in Chicago. I really wanted to go back but all of the hospitals in Atlanta only hire new grads through residency programs twice a year. The programs that started in Aug were all filled up by April. I was so sad!!!! I applied to at least 10 hospitals and did not receive any call backs and I actually worked for Emory for 5 years.
I am a new grad from Chicago I have have accepted a position at Memorial Hospital and was surprised at how low their pay is. This was the same thing at Erlanger. Around $18-$19 per hour for new grad. Does it ever get better with experience or do you just get the little 3% raise increase. Are there other RN opportunities there?
Hello Everyone, I am a new grad from Chicago and was introduced to Bayshore Medical center through a recruiter online. I spoke with a nursing recruiter from the hospital and it sounded like a pretty good deal. Is this a good hospital? I am a little worried since I have never seen it for myself and I am not from Houston
