Chabot College Fall 2011
What the school doesn't state is that the criteria score is used to calculate our GPA and other factors, but it still didn't make sense when calculated. I have mix feelings now. Oh well. I think I am better of going for my BSN.

Chabot College Fall 2011
I received my notice as well: "You have a 3.36 GPA, but did not meet the cut off criteria of 3.54 GPA". So I have a problem with this notice: when applying there was absolutely nothing stated about a cut off criteria with a 3.54 GPA, so I find the website information (that was during the time of application turn ins) to be very misleading information. I am 98% complete with my GE, my science GPA is strong (3.5+), and I took the TEAS V two weeks ago -achieving a 76.4% while the ADN/BSN Mean is 68%. I don't want to sound like a complainer, b/c I know things happen for reasons, but I just feel a bit mislead -and as if I wasted my time and money in transcripts to even apply. Had I known the criteria score was 3.54GPA, I would have never applied.

Chabot College Fall 2011
Thanks for the update. These past few weeks have me full of anxiety. I think the district stipulate was for the previous years; that may explain why the increase in applications - its no longer a requirement. Good luck!

Chabot College Fall 2011
Those applying again have an advantage -their name gets placed in pool twice. I believe there are 60 out of pool and 60 for alternates

BSN Fall 2010 USF Acceptance Letters
Not sure if it is standard, because I read, at some point, that admitted students had to wait a year to enter into clinicals. I am on the same boat as you, just a few classes, so I am excited about that--I can jump right into the hand-on stuff.

BSN Fall 2010 USF Acceptance Letters
Yes, it did. When I start the program, I will need to work on History, Lit, RC 250 (?) for Fall; all others, Philos/Theo/SL will have to wait, I guess. If you have a pdf program, you can read this to help, not sure if you already have it. http://www.usfca.edu/webtrack/pdf/Nursing_curriculum.pdf Hope this helps as an idea of what the semesters will be like. I am excited....

BSN Fall 2010 USF Acceptance Letters
City-- No, to be clinically ready, you need to have your prereqs, from my understanding; and it helps to have your lower division core reqs completed. There is room within the freshman year to take these, but to lessen your load it is 'suggested' to you have your lower division cores completed. You do have upper division cores, which, from what I can recall, is your (2) philosophy and theology, in addition to your service learning experience. As far as the written communication, you do need a R&C class before your junior year, so this can be completed at first semester at USF. I believe it can be completed on 6 semesters, depending how much you have completed prior to transfer. Again, this is information is based on what I recall from the informational meeting, the website, and the Bachelor curriculum plan. Did your letter state, "You will be ready Spring 2010"?

BSN Fall 2010 USF Acceptance Letters
Yes, I received the welcome packet email this morning. Hope to see you there! It is a beautiful campus! I am looking forward to it! I have all my prereq's done and about 7 cores, so I just need to work on some upper division core courses, like Philosophy and Literature, etc.

BSN Fall 2010 USF Acceptance Letters
This is my first choice and the only University I applied for. :) Yes, I am enrolling in the Fall program. I live in SJ, so I am going to commute a few days and then stay with some family in the city for the other few. What are your plans?

USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?
After you applied you should of received an email with your application ID# and password. You can go to the USF connect and use the user id (from the email) and the password (from the application email)--this is what worked for me to access USFconnect. Yeah its nerve racking... hehe But its just a matter of a week or so, so I will just wait and see. I have waited this long, so another week will not hurt. Good luck!

USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?

Students Accounts available to Students Student USFconnect accounts, including access to email, are created automatically at the time of admission and are sent via USPS and personal e-mail. Access to auxiliary services, including Blackboard, USFfiles, and the USF network, is added upon receipt of an admission deposit or space reservation form. Student accounts are preserved to become alumni accounts upon graduation. Students who do not graduate but who complete at least 15 units may request alumni accounts. ****** OMG! I think we are in!!!

USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?
A few weeks ago. My grandma said the university left a message, but she accidentally deleted it. I didn't even realize that I placed her house number on my application, that was my fault. I called the university back and they stated letters are going out within the next two weeks. So I didn't get an answer as to whether someone did call. (again, I am going crazy)
-
USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?
Yes, I got the same email. Do you think you missed the call? I think I did. You are right, they shouldn't--it drives us crazy. hehe
-
USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?
yes I used the log in that was used to address the letter..the password I used, however, was the pw I would use to check my application status. Try the password with the email, see if it works. When did you get the email? (I am so anxious now)

USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?
OK I have not received an acceptance letter; but my grandma deleted a voice message from USF, so I am wondering if I missed an important call. shucks. And last night I received an email that was inviting me to join a USF online chat for admitted students. Admitted students....? hmmmmm I also have access to USFconnect and have my own USF email address. USF connect has a tab showing this: Curriculum Information Primary Curriculum Program: BSN-Nursing Catalog Term: Fall 2010 Level: Undergraduate Campus: College: School of Nursing Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing First Major: Nursing ***** Now I am really anxious and going crazy--I want to state this means I AM IN!!! But I want a confirmation via email or postal mail. biting my nails over here...
