What are your plans as a RN?
guys I have two 5's in my transcript of records, I've failed 2 subjects during my college days, its was natural science and chemistry....... the next semister, I repeated this 2 subjects and made a grade of 1.5 (natural science), 2 (chemistry). do you think those failed grades would affect my application internationally? the rest of my TOR is clean, with good grades, I've failed those subjects during my transition period from highschool to college (freshman). I have a hard time adjusting with manila culture, 1st year after I failed I've decided to take my career seriously. But now, how I wish I could turn back time and put away 5's. Guys help.. anyone who also have 5's on their TOR? do you think it will affect our application here and internationally? Give me some spirit.. give me some hope. what do you think guys?

Vanessa, I've submitted my application 2 weeks ago, ( same as you). still I don't receive any call/text from the HR. What did you gave to the guard Van? only your resume and PRC license photocopy? the guard said be ready for the interview within 2 weeks and then he smiled at (hmmmm something is wrong with that smile, hahaha). ahhhhh. I can't stand the wait....

anyone here applied for SLMC-GC???
The guard only told us to give him our resume and license photocopies, he said that the rest requirements will be need after the interview. It's been two weeks since the day I've applied still no call from SLMC GC HR. Guys, did you only gave your resume and license photocopy to the guard on duty? not including your TOR, board ratings? I filled up their application form and then stapled my resume and license photocopy and that's it.. they said to wait within 2 weeks... HELLPPP!!!!

anyone here applied for SLMC-GC???
Waiting is suffering, hope this suffering will give us the road to success. You know what, I've already applied to so many hospitals, I don't even have a call from them. i hope st. lukes will text/call me .. I feel like I am a useless graduate. niyahahah. huhuhuhu but its true. I can't find any self satisfaction just being in a call center or MT company. Even if you have money, self satisfaction is not there. I am a nurse and in order to be happy and self-fulfilled, I believe I should work within my chosen field and that's "NURSING". feels like everyone is looking at me if I can make it or not. Oh st. Lukes. pleaseee.. huhuhuhu.

anyone here applied for SLMC-GC???
to RAINE, hey raine. uhmm hi, just wana ask some questions regarding your resume. Coz I think it's a great deal with us nurses what to put on our 'CLINICAL EXPERIENCE' column. my question is what did you put there raine? I mean what did you just wrote on your clinical experience? do you think its enough to just put on my hospital affiliates/and special areas I've been assigned during my college days? here;s one example of what im tryin to ask. this is just an example ok? ______________________________________________________________ Example #1: CLINICAL EXPERIENCE (as a student) Saint Lukes Medical Center: Emergency room, Operating Room, Pediatric Ward, Delivery Room Makati Medical Center: Emergency room, Operating room, Intensive Care Unit. Capitol Medical Center: Operating Room, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Emergency room. ______________________________________________________________ Or maybe its better to put what did we learned and the skills we gained during our college stays? here's one example. ______________________________________________________________ Example #2: CLINICAL EXPERIENCE Saint Lukes Medical Center: (student nurse): Emergency room, Operating Room, Pediatric Ward, Delivery Room >Gives Medications and Checked Vital Signs >Assisted in the Delivery of Newborn Child (NSD/Cesarean) >Assisted in Administration of Enema >Assisted in Administration of NGT's >Delivers Health Teachings and Discharge Patient Care plan. ______________________________________________________________ I've reviewed my resume and I find it awkward just to put my hospital affiliates and areas. I think it's better if we did put on our skills learned during college days. hmmmmmm. Now for you raine, when you passed your resume did you put your skills and experienced gained during your college days? Honestly I've applied at SLMC-GC, wherein I found out that what I've passed is my old resume 'Example #1", guys do you think example #1 is enough? if then not, then I should reapply having my revised resume with all the skills I have... I would really like to be on st Lukes:loveya:

NCPs "Nursing Career Plan"
I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines, and I strongly believes that being a registered nurse and finding a job is harder than expected, it's a reality that everyone can't escape. Because of the high demands of nurses outside the country, more nursing schools and more nursing graduates are currently flooding the Nursing Profession here in the Phil. as a results many nursing graduates find themselves jobless for about 2-3 years after being registered as nurses. I remember the time after I graduate this nursing degree I thought that it will all be easy but then it was not. Everything has changed way back then. After I passed Local board exam, I've tried my very best wanting to have a stable job as a registered nurse but then I find myself just being a volunteer. It's so hard to put my self there, just being a volunteer and paying everything such as allowance, foods, house rents, with you earning nothing but experience. My plans are here now. - continue my applying in the hospitals for official trainee as well as applying to take the NCLEXrn exam. - if I passed NCLEXrn then I will take IELTS as fast as I can and give my very best to pass. - If I passed IELTS then I will immediately apply for my VISA Screening. - If I passed VISA Screening then I will immediately find an agency that will give me a job as a nurse or either care giver. Because I will be applying for my NCLEXrn there in california, I need an SSN to have the hard copy of my license, right? so any job will do as long as they can give me SSN then it's fine with me. I'm a dawg I believe I can make my move once I get there in the USA. Oh God please guide as nurses................. Phil RN's love yall. What are your plans guys? I'll be glad to hear more from you.

Board of Registered Nursing NCLEXrn
Hi, I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and wish to take NCLEXrn this year. My question is all about the Transcript of Records which the Cal BON needs in order to process my application. I started my nursing career at the Far Eastern University during my Freshman Class (First Year College), and then after one year of staying at FEU I transfered to Another School which is nearer from our house. Question: Do I need the true copy of my TOR (during my freshman) from FEU or I just need to request the TOR from the nursing school of where I graduated (Coz my TOR from FEU is already forwarded from the nursing school I graduated) during my transfer of credentials. _____________________________________________________________ I was bothered by this question from the CA BON website: -> Transcripts are required from all colleges and/or universities you attended that reflect courses required for a degree in nursing, including general education course requirements and all nursing courses. Transcripts must be received and evaluated by the Board prior to being found eligible for the NCLEX examination. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Please help me and hoping to hear from yall soon.
