  1. Has anybody joined the Navy with MSN? I am thinking of getting my Master’s before joining. Thoughts?
  2. Hey.. Do n0t lose hope. You are almost there. You already have what most of us are trying desperately to get - experience and trainings. If you didn't get in to the hospital of your choice because of their lousy hiring system, do not get discouraged. Try other hospitals. You have awesome credentials, i'm sure you'll get noticed by them. You've sacrificed a lot already and it would be a shame for you to stop and throw it all away. Best of luck to you, me, and all nurses here! =)
  3. While waiting for the June 08 NLE results, i applied at a call center which handles health care account. I figured, hospitals require license before they accept you for volunteer work or trainings anyway so instead of being idle, i decided to look for a decent paying job. I heard some call centers do not accept nursing graduates, so i was pleasantly surprised that this company preferred nursing grads as long as you could convince them that you wouldn't run off the moment you get your license. I did pass the NLE, and so did most of my coworkers. Yet we stayed with the company. Partly because of the steady income. With the disheartening news we hear from other board passers who can't get find job in hospitals, we consider ourselves lucky. Still, i intend to volunteer after i saved up enough money for that. Then i might try my luck in Dubai or Singapore. NCLEX and IELTS will be next on my list. I know i still have a long way to go. But i won't turn my back on my dreams of being a nurse!
