Thanks! you both helped a lot with information. I was hoping the road to the end would be shorter. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to finish what I started 3 1/2 years ago. If you or anyone else has any information, insight and/or advice that would be helpful I would appericate it.

Just wanted to add my two cents about age... I returned to school to start working toward my RN when I was 45. I transferred to a University shortly thereafter. The age range of my classmates was from 18 to 58. All wonderful people. I wish you the best of luck! I know that schools around here, in North Carolina, have waiting list and it is hard to get in.

treeriver1966, Thank you for your reply.:wink2: I have completed all but the last semister at a University. So I'm thinking this is more than 50%. Will you tell me about the program? What all do we have to do? Do they take what we have completed and tell us what we need to complete from them? Do we have to take all of their test? I would greatly apperciate any information you can provide me with. I have mailed my application and transcripts but understand it will be 6 to 8 weeks before I hear anything. During that time I would like to be preparing for what comes next. I am so ready to complete my degree and become a nures:nurse:. Like I said before any help and/or information you or anyone else can provide me with will be greatly apperciated.

Has anyone out there completed their RN with Excelsior after transferring to Excelsior with 50% of their education completed at a University?? :typing

I have completed well over half of my degree at a University where I would have graduated with my BSN and sat for my boards. Things became overwhelming for me, I droppped my classes and was unable to return to finish. I have no other nursing degrees. Now I am looking at Excelsior to complete my RN. Is there anyone out there from North Carolina that is working on or has completed their RN this way? Did you have problems sitting for and/or getting your licenses? I would appreciate any information and/or help you can provide!:typing
