  1. I have worked in Denver on 2 different assignments and I love it out there. I worked with AMN both times and worked out well. I worked at Rose Medical Center and then at Porter Adventist Hospital. May be worth your while to look into University of Colorodo Hospital too, they have in house travelers and the pay is very good. Go to their website and you can apply there. They give a set pay rate and a set housing stipend (which is taxed). University Hospital is very very nice to work for, as many of my friends have worked there. GOOD LUCK!
  2. I agree with the above comment. I am currently a traveler in the float pool and they seem to dump on me as well. I have heard Eisenhower is nice, but they don't have very many openings there for travel often. I personally did not care for the area here... But I do recommend living in Palm Desert and not Palm Springs. I live at Canterra apartments and they are very nice.
  3. I started traveling with only 8 mo experience. Some agencies require longer. I have been with Amer Mobile for the entire 1 1/2 years that I have been traveling. Some states like AZ I found hard to get a job my 1st assignment, they wouldn't even talk to me until 2 yrs experience. I had no problem going to CO, FL and CA though. Depending on your area of nursing is where I have seen the variable pay rates, but $27 or so sound about right if I had to guess... Happy hunting
