Rutgers BSN program
Hey, I am not BBUrd. But, I hope I can help a bit. Rutgers CON is strict with accepting and not accepting the credits, as long as they are equivalent to nursing classes at Rutgers. They will be accepted;however, they encourage to take their nursing classes because they tend to carry over to upper division. Like you said, you are already RN and completed the associate degree. Check njtransfer.org and find courses, I would also call Rutgers to talk about it before you encounter some problems in future. I actually transffered from different nursing school, they accepted most of my science classes but I feel like I am having a slight disadvantage of not taking classes at rutgers since some classes carry some info from lower divison classes. Rutgers is also focused on Evidence based practice, but very good nursing pogram! Best in NJ!

Rutgers BSN program
Please send me any questions regarding the admission. I am currently attending Rutgers College of Nursing, and I would love to answer as many quetions as you have. For the GPA, I would strongly recommend you to have above 3.5, more likley 3.7~3.9. Starting Fall 2010, Nursing is going to be a more difficult due to economic recession. I can't tell you all the reasons because I am not suppose to tell you. But, it is going to be more competitive starting next year or the year after. And, combine score of math and reading should be above 1200 like 650 on Reading, and 650 on math. Remember, this is not the only thing they look at. They will look at your level of academic performances like if you have been taking AP or Honors classes. I didn't understand why nursing didn't really like the fact that when students had a lot of AP classes that replace some courses because they really wanted you to take their nursing classes.

Nursing students or nurses, I need your advices!
My siblings are interested of going to Nursing programs( BSN). They are juniors in high school. Since all of them live in NJ, we would like to go colleges in PA, NY, NJ, and most of northern east side. Any other recommendations for schools? How do we find the percentage of passing NCLEX from graduates in colleges? We were thinking Rutgers, Ramapo, SUNY(BUFFALO), NYU, PENNSTATE, UPENN. Any other recommendations and advices for these schools if you have attended. Thank you so much.
