yea my understanding no wait list at sfcc but its a drive. not to mention the clinicals are supposed to be hospitals up north. and i cant afford 36k for pima or apollo. thx for the reply i am looking at all options as well.

JJ definatly think about arizona i love it there. I hate cold so when its summer in pheonix and its raining but warm i love it.

Unm has a NP program but closest crna program is in arizona, somthing to think about.

Im actually a st. Vincents baby:saint:. Santa Fe native born and raised. It is one of the best citys you will ever live and it is beautiful as all get up. As said in previous posts, go cheak it out. It is the one of the only places to work in Santa fe so make sure u like it. Albuquerque is also an option alot more work and much larger city. You just dont get that small town feeling.

I dont know for sure since i am not a nurse just thinking about the profession. But i know for sure that is way off. New Mexico is not california or new york. We are an affordable state with a lower living cost. I have heard talk of $26 an /hr but nothing that high.

I have a question that more than likely has been asked, but let me ask here. I am planning on doing my pre reqs. this fall and spring for cnms programs. I have read it is a 3 yearwaiting list for the adn program. Is it possible to take the lpn cert. program while you are on the waiting list? I really want to switch careers but 4 years before starting the program is quite a long time, and i want to start working asap. Any help would be great thx.:nuke:

:nuke: Im a current postal employee thinking about nursing. A few reasons why i want to start nursing is, I cant see myself doing this the rest of my life. I see the same addresses every day all day ( im a carrier by the way). Its all politics and unions. Also all about senority, you work your butt off when you first start.
