  1. DELVENIA, Good luck with nursing school. Remember when in doubt,ALWAYS ask questions. Regardless of education, all nursing staff are important members of the team. Unfortunately, some nurses feel the need to treat new nurses bad. I've never felt that need. Maybe they get some kind of power trip. Remain positive . You will be fine.
  2. I hope your bedside manners are better than your comments! FA TO CRNA
  3. being REAL is the LPN would not be titrating vasoactive drugs in the ICU,nor would the new RN without specific training that goes way beyond nursing school clinicals.
  4. Obviously there are some folks who have replied to this with total ignorance about the EC program. The classes are the same as any ADN program. The vast majority of those enrolled have many years of clinical experience and are LPNs. I would rather have an experienced LPN take care of me anyday, than a fresh RN that went to a "traditional" school.
  5. called va bon today, possibly able to work something out with ec for students already enrolled
  6. talked with VA BON today, they are going to try to work something out with EC for students already enrolled. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until Sept. to hear something
  7. This is really upsetting news about va. ec students. Joined ec almost a year ago, there's no way I can finish in time.
