  1. Okay so heres my question. What are other hospitals doing as far as examining preterm patients? I recently had a pt that was 30 weeks, came in complaining of possible rupture of membranes. Nitrazine and ferning were both positive. I examined the pt, and found her to be 5/80/-1. Im asking because there was quite a big stink made, because i examined the pt. Can some one give me some insight as to how other hospitals are handling this situation?
  2. We only allow two people during labor, and three pp. Oh. and the pp visitors must be over 16, unless their the moms kids.
  3. I know the feeling. Im a new nurse (3 months now) on a telemetry floor, and its nothing like I thought it would be! Next week Im gonna be on my own and I was feeling scared, but now I'm learning that you just have to take one day at a time, and not beat up on yourself too much. Honestly, I think with just starting out on your own, the most important thing is SAFETY!!! Like someone said before, we are gonna make mistakes, but the important thing is to learn from them.(Well that and not to kill anybody). So now, I dont beat myself up, I just consider it another lesson learned.
  4. Hey Italia its me favored, I had some problems with my other account, for some reason I couldnt send any PM's so I had to set up this new one, anyway, I know you did great on NCLEX!!
