  1. The nurse dilutes a 2g vial with 3ml to yield 3.2ml How many ml should the nurse administer if the physician orders 550mg IM? 550mg/2000mg = x/3ml answer should be 0.83 ml divide by 3ml not 3.2ml
  2. I have to admit that I dreaded my OB rotation, but have to admit that it was probably my favorite after it was all said and done. Maybe it was because my wife was pregnant during and it was a great learning experience, but all the patients and nursing staff were terrific and very accomadating. I would never choose to work in OB, but I thought the experience was great and besides if you ever want to work in the ER there's always the chance of tending to a pregnant women. Good luck and it's all about your attitude going into it.
  3. 1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX? 226 and I PASSED! 2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course? NCLEX 3500 and bought KAPLAN Book 3.(ERI, ATI, HESI)? HESI after all content then final comprehensive exit HESI 4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 48 Hrs. (IL) Sorry for those who have to wait longer...dreadful! 5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? Confident that I failed 6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX? 1st attempt...don't know if I could have handled taking it again. I wish the best of luck to everyone...The stress of getting into a school of nursing, graduating and then NCLEX is enough to drive anyone crazy. However, the sacrifices that we make through these times pale in comparison to the sacrifices we will need to make for our patients in the future.
