Hi KSMoral...yep I have had the same issue before and while your suspicions are right, I have to say you need to be signed up with about four MAJOR companies that have been around a while and NC is a tough state to get work in has been my experience. Most companies will reimburse for licensure so don't buy it first unless it's Ca, Tx or Fla where's there's tons of work and you do not need reimbursement. I believe age is a factor as well. Don't give up! Begin somewhere where there's lots of work and go with a company that you know is reputable.

yes this just happened to me as well but after having been injured on the job. you need to report this company to the local hbi where you are now located as being a scam because they may have received money up front already and this is a way that we can fight back. go get food from the salvation army and ask if they can help you with gas. get signed up with a major company and let me know if you need the name of a good company and recruiter.
