University of South Alabama
I just finished talking to USA about the nursing program and they said for the traditional 4 year track they get 300-400 applications. They only have 120 seats. They said the top person on the waiting list had a 3.39, but DID get seated. Hope this helped

How competitve is the University of South Alabama?
I actually just sent my application in to them yesterday. However, last week I had talked to them. (Not about the accelerated program, but about the traditional track) They said they usually recieve 300-400 applications and only have 120 seats. They also said that the first person on the waiting list had a 3.39 GPA but DID get seated. As far as finding out if you are accepted or not...they send the letters out approximately 2 months from the dealine of submitting your application. I hope this helps.:wink2:

QUESTIONS for University of South Alabama!
Ok... so I am applying for the Spring Semester of 09. I have a pre-req. GPA of 3.72 and an overall GPA of 3.5. I have ALL of my pre-reqs done, all shots, EVERYTHING is done. I am applying to the Baldwin County Campus and have LOTS of questions. How competetive is the program? How many people do they pick? How do they choose them? If I am not chosen for Baldwin County would I be elegible for the Mobile campus, or vise versa? I just recently found this website and after reading other peoples posts I have gotten EXTREMLY paranoid. Before I found this site, I was pretty proud of my GPA and really had no doubts about getting accepted. But OMG, after reading some other peoples posts I have gotten extemely nervious and paranoid. I guess I'm just trying to see what my chances of acceptance are. Any info on USA would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Trying to compare my GPA with others who have already gotten accpeted
Ok So I'm trying to compare my GPA with others that have gotten accepted to a BSN nursing program My school (University of South Alabama) requires a min. of 2.5 GPA I have a 3.5 GPA But I'm just concerned because I have read other people's posts who say that schools "say" that the GPA may need to be 2.5 but in all reality they only accept 3.6... So if anyone has already gotten accpeted to a program.......could you tell me your GPA and the schools required GPA. THANKS SOOOO MUCH:heartbeat
