  1. I got 2 wrong and I just wish I knew which two because I like to see why I chose the wrong answer. Maybe I will be able to access it later to look over my mistakes. I didn't think it was too hard, but it definitely made you think at times. I think if you do the reading, review the power points and have a decent understanding then it isn't too hard....good luck this semester!
  2. Thanks for the assistance...anything helps. I am going to read the rest of the chapters tonight and take the quiz tomorrow night...the reading doesn't seem too tough so far, so I will just have to be organized with my notes and ppts and remain calm. Thanks again for the study pointers!
  3. Thanks...I think that will get be started for sure. Good luck this semester!
  4. Kale1....Did you take the quiz for module 1? If you did do you have any pointers...thanks. I just got my book late this week since I was out of town over the holidays and without a computer I was unable to order the book. Any information would be great! Good luck this semester!
  5. Where did you go to school....i unfortunately just got a 2nd Dui...it is a misdeameanor and I am very upset at myself....it was a huge mistake and I just hope I can still get into school...I am suppose to start this Fall 2009, but they do a background check for the clinicals and I am not sure what will happen. I know there are a number of professionals with charges...but I wonder how many students can get through school with these charges. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, spoke with the advisor at my school and she told me that it shouldn't be a problem as long as it wasn't an abuse type of felony. I feel much better. Thank for all your help too.
  6. Ask Professor Bouwman if there are any free tutors around. I recommend you go to every open lab there is......I worked my butt off too but you can do it and just dont give up! It is intense but do whatever it takes to pass....the knowledge you learn in her class will make things easier down the road...I promise!
  7. Okay...I had professor bouwman too and honestly she is tough but she is a great teacher too, so dont be scared to ask her questions or use the tutors that she recommends. I recevied a b- and worked my butt off..... Here is what I recommend....buddy up with people in the class. You should listen to bouwman and write down everything she says...word for word. Try not to miss anything she says...you might want to get a dictaphone and listen to her after class too! If you buddy up then you can compare notes. Prior to the tests reread your notes....over and over and over. My class started with 35 and 5 people took the final. She is tough but the pain of getting through the class is what you will need to be successful in the future.
  8. If you have DUIs on your record does that mean you cannot be a nurse? I have talked to a number of different people in the field and everyone seems to have different answer. I have made mistakes in the past and want to move forward. I have been accepted into a program in the fall of 2009 but am scared that my past may haunt me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  9. I made it too! Checked my oakland email on Monday night and I saw the "Congrats" email. Good job to nevertolate and kale1 and minurse2b2010! I am all signed up for 2 pre-nursing classes and PSY 225 for this fall! I am so excited.....see you all in the fall of 2009!
  10. I am excited to hear, but it stresses me out because if I dont get in I plan to retake classes but if I do I am starting to take the pre-nursing classes. I hope to hear soon.....so I can decide what classes i need to take! I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying every night....I am so excited to get started!
  11. Yes, and I just had my interview. Just nervous thats all...this process is not easy...I guess it gets you ready for their program!
  12. If you dont mind be asking what was your GPA? I have a 3.2 but I thought my interview went great....but I am just nervous. I dont want to sign up to retake classes if I dont have too but there timing seems to be to close to the start dates of classes.
  13. They start doing interviews after you have your pre-reqs done. Good luck.
  14. Have you heard yet from OU in regards to FALL 2009. I had my interview during the last week in July and I was unsure of when they send off the letters. Also, if you do not get in do you know if they automatically place you in JAN 2010?
  15. Did anyone hear from OU in regards to being accepted into their Fall 2009 program. If yes, when did you hear? If no, do you know when we are expected to find out? I am very excited and eager. Thanks.
