Guys dont bother applying to Queensland Nursing Council. They now require WORK EXPERIENCE as a prerequisite upon application. This statement simply is saying that if you cannot comply with the recency of practice and fitness and competence to practice based on the ANMC standards for the RN's/En's. You will have to prove yourself by way of a challenge test or by way Distant learning (STUDy MODULES) just as to comply with the requirements of the ANMC standards. well, i can say that each person deserves a better life. so we are up to the challenge. i am an undergrad when i studied for my bsn. "i find it unfair because they will just study for 2 years. but the thing is they and well as every one else aspire of better life. so maybe the board of nursing doesn't have the right to stop them from taking the course but what they can do is to have them take the regular course which is the ffour or five year course of bsn." huh??? i think what you forgot to realize here is that here in the phil. having a 1st course (bs biology,bsmt,etc) will eliminate all other subjects that a regular nursing student would have to take up be it a major or minor subject. so now, are you trying to say that if i already have a degree in let say pharmacy. i would have to take up, for ex. microbiology,chemistry, phil. history, and all other major/minor subjects all over again?just so as to be fair to you and every regular rn student.. yaiks!!! scary thought! how then would the commission on higher ed create a 2nd courser bsn-rn program which would comprise of 4-5 year course? invent a specialty subject like microbiology the extended version or perhaps a subject called chemistry 101 for 2nd coursers only? i think they should make a new version of the periodic table first before making this a subject. bottomline is that, undergrads and 2nd coursers have the same nursing subjects they both have to comply with the 2,703 hours of hospital duties. also, with the or/dr requirements, both have the same number of required duties. so,as to the topic of stopping 2nd coursers from taking nursing as a degree. i guess the philippine board of nursing as a body would definitely have to pay off our dear congress, our honorable president (is honorable and horrible synonymous to this pres? ) for the charter change of the 1987 constitution and amend this right to education: [color=#663366]section 5. RN Division 1 are first level nurses comprehensively trained with the potential ability to work in any branch of nursing. RN Division 2 are second level nurses that work under the direction of a division one or three nurse, equivalent to an enrolled nurse in other Australian states My dear friend-- QNC has used a tool from the ANMC called COMPETENCY BASED ASSESSMENT PROGRAMS for OVERSEAS NURSES. In fact this program is applied by all the states in Australia. But every state has a different program approach. Now, when you apply to QNC for registration and you pass all the necessary tests designed by this prestigious body(ANMC) And you got Registered by the State of Queensland--then you are deemed as an RN who is comprehensively trained with the "POTENTIAL" ability to work in any branch of nursing. POTENTIAL meaning if guided by the right supervision by an RN who is above the level of Div-1, that entry level RN can excel its full capacity as a functional RN. This means that when you start work, you will be under supervision in a limited time. Really?-On the other hand, why is there a division 1 entry level nursing:confused:???What does this position mean as a Registered RN in Queensland. Please take note "ENTRY LEVEL" as the key words meaning you as an RN will be starting at a novice skill. You will be given time to adjust your skills. And plus, if you start work with experience wouldnt that qualify you as division 2 RN or even higher RN Division? Tons of jobs are open all over Queensland? They are short of RN's. Some Nursing Facilities are closing down because they cannot fill in the position.Plus, You've got regional Queensland and other state territory that need RN's badly. You can apply for reciprocity you know!

Was reading up on the Competency Assessment for Internationally Qualified Nurses and was wondering something...do any of you know if the challenge tests can all be done here in the Philippines? including the clinical (simulated) part? And if it is not passed, can the clinical module be taken as distance learning as well? Challenge test A is done here in the Phil. and Challenge Test B is Done in an approved hospital in Australia. Modules are done thru distant learning(online) except for the clinical module.

Yup! I've tried ASNC and this consultancy group has helped a lot with my plans to go to Australia. I am 3/4 done with all the process. I just need to get my medicals done. So I would have to definitely say that ASNC is true and not a fake...:bowingpur Now you know!

Whether you have chosen to enrol in one of the education programs of Queensland or even the CAS challenge test will depend on whether you believe you are immediately ready to demonstrate competence for practice. You are required to demonstrate competence at a BEGINNING practitioner level, as described in the ANMC competency standards. Well, liked I've said you can Fast Track your Registration thru QNC's competency assessment service (CAS). When you pass the QNC challenge exam you will be eligible for registration.No need for you to do any bridging program. If successful in part A (achieve an 80 percent pass grade in all four sections of the exam), the applicant may proceed to part B, the clinical competence assessment. If unsuccessful in any or all of the four components of the challenge test part A, the applicant will be directed to the relevant modules of the nursing education program. If you dont mind me asking, Are you in Australia now or here in the Phil.? Anyway, before you try to look for an Employer you will need to be Registered as an RN first. If you would like to start with the ANMC you can by the way. But its a long process. This process is done if you want to nominate your skill for migration. The ANMC does the assessments so that you can show DIAC that you have qualified with their min. requirements for the general skilled migration process.

I really would like to say that falsifying transcript documents is another thing. That action is really to the extreme and VSCs, greencard, etc will be canceled tor voided. I was just saying that you cannot receive a BSN degree in the Philippines(legally)if it is not a four year course.Unless you bought a transcript off recto ave. The 1st course and the 2nd course are all summed up together, thats is why the nursing program may look shorter(lesser major & minor subj). Can I post more? Arggg! more info--- The challenge exam for Queensland is quite simple. The questions for the nursing skills part is based on Division 1 nursing. which means the test will not ask you difficult questions like the CGFNS or NCLEX-RN tests. Simple questions like normal temp,basic bls, basic knowledge in the common disease. hmmm!nice to know!
