  1. took mine in New Jersey. its good that we have quick results here. my sister also took the nclex same date as mine but its for California. she's still waiting for the results.. she stopped at 75..
  2. i just took my nclex-rn last tuesday, sept 22. i had 265 questions with 12 SATAs, 3 drug computations, lots of meds, infection control questions, 2 drag and drop as well as transcultural nursing items.. like most of you, i was freaking out after the computer didnt shut down at 75.. i thought it would stop at 100.. i didn't even take the 2 optional breaks hoping that i would stop any time sooner but it didn't until it reached to 150, 200, 250.. still not. in the end, i was there for 5 hours and 40 minutes.. after the test, i felt so drained and depressed. i cried a lot of times.. but i kept on praying and believing that i did my best, and reviewed for months. fortunately this morning, a day after my exam, the results were already posted. and I PASSED. Praise the Lord! finally, my hard work paid off. anyways, im sure that this is not true as they say, but it worked for me. the night before i was searching for some tips and found out this one: LAST QUESTION OF 265 If you sit for the total possible questions of 265, you must pay careful attention to the last question. If you pass the last question you will pass the whole exam, if you fail the last question. This is because at 264 questions without the computer shutting down you still have not shown your ability enough for your exam to be over and so the outcome is based on the last question! Tough but true. true enough, i did answer my last question (knowledge level about the greatest risk for a certain cancer) correctly.. i just wanna remind you guys that prayers really work... i can really attest to that. thank you for this forum, i was able to read a lot of comforting words here regarding the experiences of other rns who answered all 265 items in their nclex..it lightened me up somehow. this forum is such a big help! more power to you all.. and good luck to all future nurses!
  3. im just making sure with the statement above because the source came from an application handbook for visa screen.. but reading the statement again, i guess it doesnt matter really as long as the english test is accepted by cgfns which will later on evaluate me on my CES correct me again if im wrong, thanks!
  4. i see. thanks.. is it applicable to me though since i'm a immigrant already.. anyways, im more convinced now to just take the TOEFL iBT..
  5. ok thanks a lot for the reply.. really appreciate it. anyways was this the page you were looking at? http://www.cgfns.org/sections/tools/faq/#13 i assume that i could take either of the tests right? (toefl pbt, toefl ibt or tse) does it really matter or as long as i pass the test?.. im just a bit worried coz i dont know how it works, like if im taking the IBT is there any possibility that they would require me to take for instance the tse (which i heard is hard).. but i think the IBT is a wiser choice because it has everything like reading and writing as well as speaking tests and registering for the test is easier since its all year round... and one more thing, this confuses me more: (this came from the ETS website) "The TOEFL iBT measures how well you read, listen, speak and write in English and use these skills together in the university classroom." and "The Test of Spoken English™ (TSE®), the most widely used assessment of spoken English worldwide, measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to communicate effectively. The test is used for employment, graduate assistantships, licensure, and certification purposes" pls correct me if ever im wrong.. thanks in advance!
  6. hi guys.. hope someone could give answers to my question above ^^ thanks so much..
  7. hi suzanne.. i have plans of taking the toefl since its part of the requirements here in NJ.. but im still confused with what type of test ill take, if its the TOEFL PBT or the TOEFL iBT or the Test of Spoken English i hope you can give me an idea.. thanks so much.. as always..
  8. thank ya'll for the help
  9. i have plans to apply in california since they dont need the ces and english exams unlike in NJ.. pls correct me if im wrong.. then il just apply by endorsement here in NJ after.. but i have no idea how long would it take me and if the same requirements would apply.. if ever ill apply here in nj, suzzane, im still required to take the english exams, right? (though im a us immigrant) just making sure.. thanks for the help..
  10. i see. i just came here a week ago.. nj has a lot of requirements, plus the ces fee would cost me much.. and im looking for a state that process the license faster, but reading from the posts here, i guess its much wiser to have it in NJ since i also live here.. im stil waiting for my results though for the NLE last june 1&2..
  11. zieshe, where are you in nj? just got my degree too in the phil and im still undecided what state ill apply. im in nj also.
