  1. Hello... I am also interested but havea few questions I was hoping some that are experiencing or have experienced the program can answer.. In this post one said, "In what ways is the USAGPAN school way harder than other CRNA programs? Having never been to CRNA school before, I can not tell you how it compares (in difficulty) to other civilian programs. I can tell you it is one of the best Graduate experiences I have had. I highly recommend it. Because the Army is "vested" in your success in the program, they put tons of $$$ into training you for a very autonomous role." What are the admission requirements to get in? I have one year left of my BSN program and want to make sure I take all the correct steps post graduation. Is it a set four years of service you must give once you are done? Do you live on base while attending USAGPAN school? How much is your monthly stipind..? What happens if you get a low grade on a test? are you allowed to retake, or do they kick people out of the program? I am mostly a "B" student, but work incrediably hard, best from hands on training... I do think this would be the best option for me, but an questioning what other steps I need to take to apply and prepare myself. What would you say are the pros and what are the cons of the program..? The military will pay 100% of your tution? do they give you a signing bonus..? I will graduate with 42,000 of undergrad debt.. should I look into signing with becoming a RN in the military first? I just dont want to be shuffled off though and not recieve ICU training.. Thank you for your help and insight! You all inspire me! Alli
  2. Does anyone know when they will be taking the applications for the Fall 2010..?? I did not get my DPScard back in time to apply for the spring program! Additionally, has anyone that applied for the spring program heard anything.. did they honor your morning or afternoon time request slot?..
  3. Hello.. Can someone guide me in the direction of a place that does them digitally? You say it's faster that way?? Do they send everything electronically then? what about your check?
  4. Hello!! I need some help and quidence into where I can get all the shots and titer results for vaccinations for the LPN/ RN Program at gateway. I took the paper to my doctor and he said he wasnt able to do all the shots and vaccinations. I don't have any of my paperwork from years past, so need all tests and vaccinations given again. Is there a clinic I can go to? ? Or can anyone refer me to where they went, and who did their test's right and got all the appriorate paperwork from them?? Help, I'm trying to submit my application by the Oct 29th deadline, but this is the only thing standing in my way! Where did you go? Please post, or pm me! thank you!!
  5. Where is RSSA??? And how do I find about the next set of CNA classes being ?? offered? Is this a JC or a private company, organization? What the cost.. Thank you!!!
  6. once pre-re. are done and you take the NET can you state that you intend to apply to both ASU AND MCC .. Obvisouly very different, but it would increase the odds.. does anyone have any information on this???
  7. I'm appling for the program next semester, in your opinon what is the most challanging.. ? How many hrs per day do you spend studing? Are there enough tutoring centers? I will be at gateway... What is the best part time job I could have there in AZ, i'm coming from CA and none of the hospitals have replied.. what do you all do? ever feel like dropping dead from exhustion, or do you still have time to-->move around..? Look forward to hearing from you..
  8. Congratulations On everyone getting in the fellowship program!! I'm transfering from CA to AZ this fall to start the nursing program at Gateway.. I have one semester to knock out my pre-reqs.. What is the interview like with Banner? What are they looking for, what do they ask? Also howlong after you applied for the nursing program were you admitted?? I'm so nervous as this is a complete life change for me, one of the major reasons im coming to az is in hopes to get into banners program.. Please can someone tell me what I can do to increase my chances..
  9. I am shy 3 units of an AS in Business admin.. but realized I wanted to become a nurse in the process.. I just need Chem, A&P 1&2, and Gen Bio.. before I apply.. When you say wait, can you take other classes in the nursing program, or all your pre reqs are done, you took the NET say and they sorry next year??
  10. If I have no prior medical experiene or background should I go with ASN first, or into the BSN.. ? :no:I'm scared because looking at these forums most people in the BSN progrom have years experience, plus everyone knows the nursing program is INTENSE. I am looking at cost wise too.. If I go ASN, cant a company pay for me to do my Bacholors work?? How long is the normal transition from RN to BSN?? Looking forward to hearing from you all.. Thank you!
  11. Is anyone going through the ASN program through Gateway Community College, or any of the MARICOPA COMMUNITY COLLEGES? I am a CA resident and have been going to College of the desert, with a transfer into Sac State for there nursing program.. I really found myself changing from Polotical Sci to nursing about 8 months ago, am a CNA right now and love it, cant wait to be an RN and then go on from there.. However, I dont qualify for my program as COD because i had to repeat Chem.. I still have two pre reqs of Ant. and Phy 1& 2... in CA all places go off a merit system and even once I finish pre reqs im told i'll probably be waiting at least another year or so before it happens.. I have heard great things about some of AZ programs, and once you finish pre reqs most students get in, its not as impacted as CA and they dont use a pts structure for admission. Has anyone gone through or is going through an ASN program in AZ, and then what are my chances after wards of transfering back to Ca to finish an RN to BSN program? Look forward to hearing from you soon.. Thanks!!
