it depends on the state you are going take. here in Florida, you can only take 3x... then after that you ned to take refresher course

hi. I need help and advice... Let me share my story to you.. I'm a graduate of nursing in the Philippines last 2007. After i graduated I took an exam to be a RN, after few months of waiting they released the results and luckily I passed. I'm so happy then because I waited for that time to come but I also feel sad because that time I received a letter from US embassy. They said I need to process my papers as an immigrant because I'm turning 21 the following year and it gives me no choice but to do it. I know it is a good opportunity to live and work in US and it is a chance of a lifetime. So, while I process my papers I worked as a volunteer nurse in a community health center for a few months. I can't apply in a hospital that time because I only have 5 months left and I also need most of my time processing my papers so it left me no choice but to work in community health center. I came here in Florida April 2008, weeks after that I start processing my application to be a RN in here and I didn't expect that it will takes time before i can take an exam because of they required me to have my credential to be evaluated by a credentialing service that is a different agency from Board of Nursing. So, while waiting for it I'm doing a self review and I also try to apply a job in hospital to be familiar in the hospital settings in here and until now I never receive any calls. I'm confused I understand I'm only classified as GN & I can't work here as nurse until I have my license here, so I only apply the positions like PCA, PCT, nursing aides, and monitor tech all of that only required HS diploma and knowledge in medical field which is I know I'm qualified but I never hear anything from them. Can you help me? I don't know what else to do to get a job while waiting for the exam. I don't know what else I need... hope you can help me.. thanks
