  1. Hi Michelle, Congrats on your acceptance as well! Have you already submitted FASFA for 08-09. I'm a little confused as to how finanical aid works for an accelerated program, I'm in the process of trying to figure it out, but haven't heard anything from MCPHS in regards to it. Have you? Thanks, Leanne
  2. I agree...it will be a lot of hard work, but I can't wait to start! After I sent in my deposit I received a packet with health forms that need to be filled out, besides that I haven't received anything else. I'm anxious to receive more information about what to expect in January!!
  3. Thanks so much for your reply LIZH18! Do you feel that MCPHS prepared you well for the NCLEX? Have you already begun working as an RN? Also, is the financial aid office good about helping students find scholarships/ways to fund their education. I'm having a hard time finding nursing scholarships. Thanks again!
  4. Hi Cassie, I am attending the MCPHS nursing program in Worcester this January '09 as well; I'm really excited to get started!! Congrats on your acceptance!
  5. Hi LIZH18, I'm planning on attending MCPHS Worcester in 09 and I was wondering if you could give me a little more information about the program. You said that you were able to work while in the program...can you give me an idea of what the program entails? For instance, how much work goes into the program each week, with the amount of studying that needs to take place. Also, over all did you enjoy the program?? I'm getting really excited to start, but I just want to have an idea of what I should expect! Thanks so much!
  6. Hi bluegreentree, I'm from the metrowest, by Cambridge and I have yet to decide whether to commute to Manchester or not. I'm not sure how much rent goes for in the area, and I'm also not sure what the commute would be like from Boston to Manchester five days a week. Do you know anything about the commute? Thanks!
  7. rosemary08, Sorry it took me so long to get back. In regards to MCPHS Manchester this fall, if you decided that is where you are going to enroll we should defiantly keep in touch!
  8. rosemary08, are you waitlisted at the Worcester campus?? Also are you planning on living in Manchester NH since you are not from the area? Thanks for your response!
  9. hello, i just became a member to this site because of all the great advice everyone was giving to each other. i'm in a tough position in regards to mcphs nursing program, and would love to hear everyone's advice! i have a couple of questions pertaining to that manchester campus which i've mainly been looking into. where are the clinical sites? i'm not familiar with any of the manchester area hospitals and am having a hard time figuring this information out. also i'm from the boston area and am now wondering if a commute from boston to manchester is manageable everyday. if there is anyone out there in the manchester program who does commute i would love to hear their opinion on this issue. i'm torn because now i am also wondering if i should have put more consideration in the worcester campus. i am more familiar with the hospital in the worcester area, but again i am faced with the issue of whether or not a commute from boston would be possible. lastly, i would love to hear feedback from anyone in the program (either campus) or recent gradates about the quality of teaching etc... i've read some negative comments about some of the professors and don't know if i should regard such criticisms, everyone likes different teaching styles. thank you all, and good luck to everyone!!
