On the Way To the Application Meeting WCCCD
So the new campus isn't even open yet>? Love how students at NW lie! Some say they are already taking classes there. If i sign on the med math in the fall wonder where it will be. I've already checked with the downriver and they claim to only have pre-req's. Don't really want to go to downtown...i happen to like my car and have heard alot of cars come up missing. Bellville is way to far for me if i had to go out there might as well move to my aunts. Not happening. She is a bit to old fashion and a organic and naturalist freak! I remember growing up with her it was fun but you know how you go to places for a visit but not to live there. Well that's one of those.:chuckle

Wow that's what i talked to Carol about today she said just To Who it may Concern. The Application meeting in Aug she isn't sure where it will be it may be at the new campus or old they haven't told her yet. She said to call back in Aug to find out. Are you at the NW campus? new or old. I was thinking next week to go exploring it i haven't been there yet.

On the Way To the Application Meeting WCCCD
Ya at HFCC i would rather do the test get the results and delete any anxiety and stress immediately so that i can stress over something else:chuckle For the recommendation letters who do i have my peps make it out to? I didn't ask at the meeting.

Information meeting at WCCCD
Aunt Nana, You have a wonderful inspiration about you. I am pretty patient most of the time, but lately i find myself irritated over trivial things. I mostly think its the continuous class without breaking but thats the only way to do it. I practice yoga to cool down on a daily basis and drink lots of jasmine tea. From reading your emails you must be a woman of maybe 30-45 because i haven't heard the young crowd talking like this. It's great to know that someone has worked as hard as i am and is making out alive. Congratulations on your nursing.:up::up::up:

Thanks i will be going to the information meeting tonight. I have all the above information on the pre-req for nursing paper, i was just curious if the stuff had to be provided at the information meeting or the application meeting. I just learned the meetings are two separate meeting. Thanks for the clarification on confusion.

Have completed all the pre-req's and finishing this semester with the last of the co-req's as well. Then the only class i have to complete is the medical math. That is why i was thinking to take the math and maybe allied health while i am waiting for my results from the NET. Are you already in the program? What do you mean by BSN classes?

Community college or University?
Whatever area you are in Universities have the best programs but costly and you become a number instead of a student, Community College is the most cost efficient and more detailed instruction from the professors. At WCCCD i am paying $55.00 per credit hour and the pre-req's are included with the credits you need to start preparation for the nursing program (72 credits). You will need to take Bio, A&P I, II, Patho, Micro, at least english 119, 120, Psyc 101, Sociology, medical math, american government, nutrition, and lifespan development. It seems like alot but i have been continual sumer, spring and winter since may 2007 and now i am finishing the last class of my pre-req's. Oh, the above also includes the co-req's. You will also need to maintain your grade of at least 3.4-4.0 The program is getting quite competitive and they are choosing only the best...Good luck making your decision.

Information meeting at WCCCD
Are you still in the nursing program? Someone came into my patho class last semester from the nursing program and said that we would be attending from 7-7 4 days a week is that correct? He also said that 3 chapters of study today, tomorrow and then the 3rd day will be testing? How the heck can someone read 6 chapters in 2 days and expect to remember their own name! Any accurate info you have on the nursing program will be appreciated. I'd like to know what I am getting myself into.:chuckle

Information meeting at WCCCD
What kind of changes were made? I hope they haven't added more classes. I am finishing my pre-req's this is my last semester. Have you heard anything about receiving some type of certification or degree after all the pre-req's are completed? A friend of mine said someone told her that after the pre-req's are completed she received her associate of science and that she was graduating. I'm just curious how many credits are needed to graduate?
