  1. Hey I just applied for the fellowship and received an email to call and set up an interview. Do you know more about the fellowship though? How much does it pay and how long is it?
  2. Hi foodrobot, yeah I was accepted into the NYU program for the fall term, but I think just to take the two pre-reqs I need (A&P and Nutrition) and then I start into the accelerated program in the winter. To be honest my GPA is currently the same right now...3.19. I should graduate with a 3.2 something, but i doubt much higher and was still the 3.19 when I applied. I'm graduating June 15 from Union College in upstate NY. However, I think NYU focuses more on the science pre-reqs and what GPA you have with those...I had mostly As and if not high Bs in the ones I've taken. I don't know a lot about NYU either tho and am trying to figure stuff out as well. I was going to apply for winter session to Pace's Combined degree program too and am still deciding on that. I have all my recommendations and transcripts in and the essay done for it, I just need to finish the application if I decide to send it.
  3. I was recently accepted into the accelerated bachelor's nursing program at New York University. However, it's quite pricey and I'm already in debt from the college I'm graduating from. I was wondering if anyone knew about hospitals in the city that would offer tuition reimbursement or loan forgiveness or something during or after my education there, maybe by promising to work for them after as an RN for a certain amount of time or something? Are there specific hospitals known to do this?
  4. Hi, I've been reading through this thread (and actually just joined the facebook group mentioned above and friended Joe). I have just been accepted into the accelerated program also. I think I might have to start in the winter because I have two more pre-reqs to finish up (A&P and Nutrition). Do I start these in the fall then? I don't know if anyone would know this but I was actually wondering if it's possible to recieve some tuition reimbursement after or during completion of this program. Maybe by becoming employed doing something at a hospital and promising to work for them or something? (I don't really know much about this). I'm already deep in loans from the college I'm graduating from now (another private school) and NYU is kinda pricey, but I feel like I'd really like it there. I know there's financail aide still to figure out...Pleeeeasssee let me know if there's a way for this reimbursement tho...
