"Myth" I wouldn't go that far. It is not a myth. It is reality. If you're a nurse you will find a job. No matter how long it takes. We are in demand bottom line

Help!!!! New Nurse! I need Advice.
Hello My name is Candy and I worked nights since 2001. It is hard getting used to it. Homecare is wonderful and less stressful, but you have to crawl before you walk. It will take time getting used to(the night shift I mean). I take a nap from 8pm-10pm. Work 11-7. I go to sleep in the morning at 8am(husband willing) and wake up at 1pm. Exercise at 2pm. So when I get up its still daylight. Fight against your body. Sometimes you want to sleep all day but don't do that. Get up at least by 2pm so you can still enjoy your day. I hope this helps you. Night Shift Rules!

When your first job doesn't work out
Many LTC facilites are like this. They like to give their nurses a hard time, especially if you are new. Stand up for yourself and let management know they can't just walk all over you. My facility tried to fire me over O2 tank. Try not to take things personally, it is a business after all. Even though they deal with patients, money is their top priority. I'm not leaving my job though. No matter how they stress me out, I go in to work with a smiling face and take care of my patients. They always ask me "Why are you sooo happy?" Cause I ignore negativity.
