Hi, I am having an issue with our Admitting Dept. They feel that every labor patient should be greeted and escorted to L&D by a labor nurse. I would like to know if each labor unit sends a nurse to the admitting dept to escort all patients to L&D. This would include scheduled inductions, cesareans, possible ROM, ETC... It does not include active patients. Thanks, D

hi, my unit has no policy on visitation to the pediatric unit. lately we have been having some issue with multiple family members and siblings visiting and requesting to stay as guest while a pediatric patient is hospitalized. can some give me suggestions as to your policy for visiting and sleeping over. thanks, donna

Hi, We have recently had a delivery of a newborn whose mother routinely used herione. At present, the newborn shows not symptom of withdrawl. (only 2 days).
