i work in an ER now, but when i get older, i would like to switch to either the OR or pacu. which area is considered less stressfull? i really don't wanna be runnin around when i'm 55- 60 yrs old juggling 3 -4 patients and having family ask me for water every 4 minutes!!

thanks cbcle, i work at st agnes in baltimore and they give u a tuition reimbursement of $8000 a year, but for each year u go to school, u have to work 2 years for the hospital.

does anybody know the tuition benefits of these hospitals?? also, do the non-government hospitals offer pensions and possibly health insurance when u retire??: 1. howard university hospital, 2. va medical center, 3. childrens hospital, 4. george washinton hospital, 5. NIH, 6. naval medical center walter reed hospital

we did the ati at my school. i got a 74.7 which= 95% chance of passing the 1st time. i don't relly on that though. as a mtter of fact, i emailed my dept head and asked her how reliable/accurate that RN predictor is and she told me its accurate. whatever. we took it april 30th ive been studying saunders comprehensive (2nd edition), got the kaplan 2007- 2008 nclex rn, and been doin SATA questions off of the nclex 3500 (free web version)

is there a good place to study pharm for the nclex?? i'm really weak in it. the books i have are: saunders comprehensive (2nd edition, the blue one) kaplan nclexRN (2007-2008 edition) and the free nclex 3500 (online free version, i use those to practice SATA q's)

i googled 'normal lab values' so i could start memorizing them. a bunch of websites have lab values that kinda fluctuate. is there a place i could go to that has lab values that the NCLEX sticks to/goes by?

sucks that the shortest they have is a 3 month version! i just did a 50 q test on there and got a 51%. i went to 'create a new test' did a timed test and did a 'select all test content'. am i on the right track? where is are these famous qtrainers 1- 7 at? please tell me how to work this......either here or PM me. thanks!:)

what is HESI? i was trying suzanne's plan, but it was taking too much of my time, but maybe i have it confused. here's what i was doing: i would do the questions at the end of each chapter. if i didn't get a 70% or higher, i read the content and then did the questions again. the thing about it was when i re-did the questions, i would remember answers because i just looked them up. even if re-did the questions the next night, i would still remember the answers. and as far as the content, i would automatically read the parts for the questions i got wrong. can anybody clear it up/fix what i'm doing wrong?

which kaplan? can you find the name of the book on amazon? please:heartbeat you're right. the anxiety of failing is killing me and nobody understands except other nurses. alotta ppl tell me 'oh you'll be fine', but how do they know?? to me, it just sounds like a nice thing to say.
