  1. Have you ever failed a student who is not English speaking and during a transition period from a physician role to a nurse role and from another culture to America culture? Do you think it is reasonable based on the communication skills and culture shock to fail a straight "A" student?
  2. i just dropped off the accelerated second degree program. it is not because of my acedemic score, it is due to my clinical performance. i am a straight "a" student and had been a physician for more than ten years in another country. the ob professor failed me because of my communication skills and not following her instruction. i heard there were 30% student failed the med-surg-ob. i cried everyday and worried about the problem that finally happened. my advisor told me i could send an appeal to the dean. however, will the dean change my clinical score? i feel very frustrated and do not know if i should repeat the course next year. is there any program accept a failure student as a candidate?
  3. I just enrolled in the second program. It is 16 months and lots of reading work. The first class was pathophysiology and pharmacology. The most difficult for me is the drugs. I believe you can finish it if you have enough energy and better English than I. I am 43 and English is my second language. I geaduated from medical university and had been a doctor of OB/GYN for 12 years. I think I can handle the following courses and try to work part time. Can anybody give me advice which unit is better for me? Maternity or deliver and labor?
