  1. I used an NCLEX prep book that allowed me to cover up the answers and try to guess first. Then it gave me a rationale so I could understand if I choose the wrong answer. I think the book I used was Saunders (Sorry, it's packed up now!). I also used a CD that I got with my NCLEX prep course that simulated questions and I really think that helped too. Good luck!!!
  2. I don't remember the brands exactly but use ones that have the CD's with the practice questions. I think just the act of answering questions in that format helped. Plus, it was a great way to study since it gave me rationales. I hope this helps!
  3. Thank You!!! I swear, the feeling I had after I left the testing center was absolutely horrible! I think since I practiced with so many NCLEX test prep books that I got used to the instant gratification of looking at the answers right after I made a decision. Obviously you don't get that with the actual test. I tell you one thing, I will never go through that again!!!
  4. UPDATE: I PASSED!!!! I'm an official RN!!!
  5. I just took my NCLEX yesterday. I had told myself going in that I knew I would get 265 questions...just so I wouldn't freak when it didn't shut off at 75. And what does it do??? Shut off at 75. I wanted to scream at the computer "Wait! I haven't proven myself yet! I need more questions!!!" I left the test center crying my eyes out, just knowing I failed. I'm going crazy and I feel so stupid. To top it off, I didn't think about the holiday when I sceduled my exam so now I have to wait longer. This is a HORRIBLE feeling to have to sit here and wait!
