  1. I was curious how the selection process worked for Sierra ( I have a 4.0 overall as well) because I got in on my first try. I asked the admin. assistant when I turned in my paper work on Tuesday and she said everything is a lottery system. We were just lucky to be at the top of the list. You were probably #31 on the list!!
  2. Thank you so much!!! I will definitely take your advice!
  3. I am starting my RN program in the fall and I am trying to "brush up" on my medical terminology before the semester begins. Can anyone suggest a good, to the point, medical terminology reference? Thanks!!
  4. Wow! I guess I should've applied to Sierra earlier. I had only been applying to SCC and ARC for the past 3 semesters because they were in the Los Rios College District. This semester I decided to apply to all 3 schools. Oh well I guess hindsight is 20/20. It is really a good feeling to know that my hard work got me into this program and not just strictly a random lottery. -Kellie
  5. I had Professor Krieg for A&P at FLC. I also never re-took or dropped any courses. I am getting confused... Acceptance into Sierra's program isn't strictly a lottery system? Did all my hard work for my 4.0 pay off?
  6. I have a 4.0 in pre-req's and overall. I took most of my pre-req's at Folsom Lake College. -Kellie
  7. Does anyone know if the Sierra College RN program has an assessment test requirement like the TEAS for fall 2008? P.S for all of you who were accepted this semester, I live in Folsom and am excited to meet you all!
  8. Yeah it was the RN. I guess the denial letters were sent out before the acceptance emails, which I think is odd. I didn't even know I would be receiving an email. I was waiting for a letter in the mail. It was a weird chain of events. I had just gone to the mail box and got a thin letter from ARC (much the same as the other ARC denial letters I have received) I opened it and it was just as I thought. I was sitting at my computer depressed and noticed I got a new email. It was from Sierra RN program saying that I was accepted. Talk about going from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. Good luck to you!!!
  9. WOW I just got an email saying I got into Sierra College Nursing Program for fall 2008! I guess 3rd times the charm!
  10. WOW I can't believe it! I just got an email telling me I got into Sierra College Nursing Program for fall 2008!!! Did anyone else get in?
  11. What day did you receive your acceptance letter for ARC??
  12. Hi medicalnerd, I applied to SCC, ARC, and Sierra for fall 2008. I am just curious as to what school you got the acceptance letter from. I have only received a denial letter from SCC and have not heard from the other two schools. Thanks!!
