hi guys i got a question on nclex
i think i got it....so ill be an RN only on that state that i applied for is that correct? what happens if for example I go to Saudi or London and apply for a job there. Do they require me to go back to my country and take the Local board exam or will they consider my license that i received on the state i applied for or will i take other exams?

question with oxytocin meds
can someone please help me understand about oxytocin i was just researching about oxytocin and i know that it is used to help in the contraction of the uterus and thus inducing labor... what i don't understand is that why is it used to treat or prevent postpartal hemorrhage? i tried to research it in my pharmacologic book but it doesn't explain the process..it only says that it prevents bleeding..i tried researching in the internet but i can't find any good sites that can explain ocytocin... whats bugging me is that...if oxytocin is used for the contraction of the uterus then it is only possible that it can also cause postpartal bleeding due to the contractions right?? so why is it the opposite?? why can it prevent hemorrhage? can someone please explain of give me some sites for it please...i really want to understand it...thanks

Confused: Nursing Diagnosis
i think the best way to really get the problem of your patient is to look at his chart....thats what i do anyway ^^.......any information regarding your patient prior to his admission is in the pt. chart....and also you can't relate MI with his symptoms because it was already ruled out right? but he still has angina so you can research for any possible nursing diagnosis for angina. but the best thing you can do right now is look for the doctor's diagnosis. in that way you can research abnormalities that can be experienced by a pt related to the doctor's diagnosis and then compare it to you pt's situation and then make a nursing diagnosis and intervention about that ^^ but i think your data is lacking...i mean if he has a pain scale of 7 for 3 days then he should have a hightened RR right?? a pain scale of 7 is already very painful hahaha just sharing what i think...i could be wrong you know....im still a 3rd year student ^^ please correct me so i can reflect on it.....especially daytonite ^^

Should I quit Nursing School???
hmmmm......well in my opinion...we can't just tell him to quit nursing school just like that...maybe there are factors that motivated him to take nursing in the first place...maybe because of financial crisis or future plans.....an example of this is that his planning for a better future for his child so he has to take nursing while his child is still young so that he can support the needs for his child in the future because as the child grows expenses tends to "grow" too ...this is just a speculation...there are many other factors affecting him....but also you, yourself know which can be prioritized first...weigh both your priorities and decide which one would be best for you and your family...and its not up to "US" "other people" to decide or to suggest what you should do...think and bring this problem to your wife also so that you to can work on a solution :wink2: God Bless

hi every one....i desparately need some medication steps especially steps on IM, SUB Q, and skin testing.... u see.. we just started school here on the philippines...on my first 2 days i joined section N which is indicated on my schedule..... we were on how to put/assist IV on a patient....and we are scheduled to have our RD next week tuesday..... Now last night my teacher got the final listing of students for his section....and i found out that i wasn't on his section.....I went to our registrar and she said that there was a mistake in enrolling me and i was really enrolled on section P.... i was really ****** :angryfire and now me and my other 13 classmates who were transfered too, don't know what to do.... U see, section P was on medication and we missed the lectures on medication and they are scheduled to have their RD on tuesday also. and we can't do the RD even if we read the steps because we haven't even personaly seen it with our own eyes on how to administer medications.... PLEASE HELP US.....OUR C.I.s are expecting us to just imagine the steps and perform are RD like nothing happened... T_T please give me some websites with helpful videos or even downloadable videos so that we can have some ideas on what to do on tuesday T_T
