Hi I have posted here before and I gathered some great information and had another question pertaining to travel nursing. I graduate in May, 2010, and I know I will have to gain some experience as an RN at my local hospital(which I have already agreed to work for a year there). My question to you is this; which agencies provide the best package(i.e. paid compensation, housing, travel reimbursements),and which are the most friendly and easiest to work with? I have been researching many different companies and of course all of them sound appealing in their own ways, but which specific agencies have you had a positive experience with? I will go with the agency that pays for housing, most likely. Also, I live about two hours(100 miles) from Houston, Tx, so would agencies consider this "Travel Nursing" if I were to do an assignment there? I am in my 20's and I am very flexible. I would indeed like to be properly compensated though. Would you also be willing to share your approximate monthly income and your state? I appreciate any input anyone may put in. Hi everyone! I have been reading these forums for a while now, and how found some extremely informative things regarding my future career and it excites me! I had a question for you guys, I live in Texas currently, and I will be applying to Lamar University in Beaumont, Tx in the Fall for January entry. My first semester was not so hot(which I kick myself every day for), but I have managed to bring my grades up somewhat over a couple of years. My AP-I is a C, AP-II is an A, Micro - A. My sciences are a 3.3 GPA, my cumulative is a 3.19, and my prereq's are a 3.2. I was wondering if anyone was in a similar situation as me, I am INCREDIBLY nervous about this, and any response would be greatly appreciated!
