how do you give morphine on a pump bedside?
Our PCA pumps also have the capability to provide a continous basal rate-just like a drip.

does age REALLY matter?
Wahdidah- :offtopic: I'm curious, are you ready for a change? Do you have opportunities for that or do you see yourself sticking it out for 10 more years where you're at? I'm wondering what choices do you have in nursing after having such experience?

How did you react to your first code?
ruby-please, please write a book.

does age REALLY matter?
Good for you nontradstudent! I don't think anyone that read the original post would give it any consideration except that it speaks worlds about the lack of wisdom of the writer.

75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?
There's no way of knowing-remember there are 15 test questions that are not graded and I think a drag & drop can very likely be one of those. I know its so excruciating to wait for the results but try to keep in mind that it is much more likely that you passed. I just tried to keep busy and get out of the house to pass the time faster-something to distract yourself. Rent french or italian subtitled foreign films-it takes a lot of focus to figure those out!!! ok I know that sounds off the wall but you know what I mean! Keep your spirits UP!!!!

75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?
I felt so anxious after my NCLEX, too. I passed with 75 questions. What helped me was a thread on here that discusses why people feel so bad after the test even though they passed. I think it is under "waiting on NCLEX results? Read here first." I felt much better after reading that thread. Hang in there!

DID anyone try LEARNINGEXT.COM
I used learningext.com for about1.5 weeks-abandoned it about halfway through. I didn't like the outline format and I found many typos and a few inaccuracies (like saying hypo when it was hyper) which infuriated me-I felt like-how do I know if they are teaching me the correct info or not in any of this? I e-mailed them but never did get a response. My friend who signed up felt the same way, too-found one incorrect item and stopped using it. Agree about the fact that it doesn't address incorrect rationales on the practice question answers. I passed at 75 questions. I would advocate using the most current Saunders book and cd-rom. You can choose to take an exam using all SATA format-great experience for the nclex-rn-you can see if you have a pattern of checking too many or too few. I also used Kaplan book and cd-rom-good but not enough test questions.

75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?
NCLEX-RN Turned off at 75 and I went numb. Felt horrible, but I passed after all! I studied the Kaplan book-felt it was pretty good but not enough questions to only use that for study. I used the Q&A saunders book (2nd ed) and the cd from the 3rd edition saunders book. Definitely advocate the most updated Saunders book(4th ed.) and the cd (I borrowed my friends 2 days b4 the test). I signed up for the 3week learningext.com course through the ncsbn website but I didn't like the outline format at all and stopped about halfway through. The tests questions were good practice but not enough SATA. Much better on the saunders cd. Hang in there!

Things to do while awaiting NCLEX results
Thousands of sit-ups to lose the muffin top I acquired in nursing school watch my son's baseball game (yelling "way to wheel, way to wheel!" and " Good eye-good eye" can be very therapeutic) talk to my kids talk to my husband vow not to tell my mom how I really feel again and scare her to death-(she's going to church to pray for me now) come up with a game plan if "the dreaded" happens-its not the end just an unexpected detour Buy myself some flowers that smell good-like peonies.

75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?
I am so comforted by this thread. Thank you all for sharing your concerns because I feel a little better that I am not the only one who feels like a complete idiot after taking the NCLEX. Mine shut off after 75 questions-a lot of select all that apply, infection control, medications, prioritization & delegation. I feel sure that I failed. I cannot imagine that I passed-it feels so awful. I have had a migraine ever since I left the testing center. This morning, reading these recent posts, is the first time I feel a little better. I am already planning on studying Suzanne's program if the feared happens. Congrats to those who passed. I can empathize with those who failed. If I did fail-I am going to have a more concrete plan for the next attempt and get out of the house to study!
