a few of the students live near campus and others live far out and hate it (30-45m). I live about 15m away and I think it's perfect, anything farther than 15m is too far for me lol. I recommend either staying somewhere close by whether downtown (where I planned to stay but don't have a job, lofts had good affordable rates), on grand (where the school is located), near galleria mall or kingshighway. If you are ok with driving then anywhere that allows you to get to school by street and not just highway esp highways 44, 270 or 64, a lot of the students generally complain about the traffic that live far out.

oh yes I love and miss DC too, plan to go back as soon as I finish this program. No i do not know anyone coming from that background but there are numerous backgrounds from fashion, engineering, nutrition, photography so I'm pretty sure respiratory is not a problem. Pretty much with decelerating you go from full time to part time, 2 year program turns into a 3 year program.

well as far as living goes I really don't know, I live with family. I moved back to St. Louis from DC so its been a while and I never got out I don't know much about places to live or things to do. Yes it is only 21 months and yes I am interested in being a pediatric nurse or nurse anesthetist. Currently I am considering SLU's post certificate but we shall see.

SLU Accelerated MSN Program
I'm currently in the program, started fall 2011. It is really fast and hard, changes are made if needed and the teachers are open to any suggestions from the students. It was 25 of us that started and two had to decelerate, one didn't do well in Patho and another in Pharm, this semester another student decelerated because he didn't feel he was grasping all that he wanted to with the program being accelerated and was over whelmed with Med Surge. I struggled with Patho last semester and came close to having to decelerate but I pulled through and I believe they are rearranging the topics so that lectures flow better and may provide a comprehensive final because it is one of the harder classes in the Fall. Overall I love it, discovered I'm not a fast learner as I used to be. You will be real close with your classmates because you will be together 24-7 in this one classroom for hours lol, classes are 3-4 hrs long with small breaks as needed. With me not being a fan of long lectures, what I do appreciate and love is that they record the lectures so that you have access to the anywhere and can listen to them as many times as need. So that's pretty much it besides the grading scale, I'm not used to having - and +, it was A,B,C, D in my undergrad. A 77 © is passing and pretty much anything under that is failing, if this isn't new to you then you don't have anything to worry about.

Dosage Calculation Test
I thought you would divide the 500mg by 1g=1000mg and times by the 3ml. 500mg/1000mg =.5 x 3ml =1.5 ml

Is anyone attending the SLU Masters Generalist this fall??
they have something called University Heights Lofts. The website is http://www.universityheightslofts.com/ and they seem to be nice. Im still looking into them. Although Im from here, Ive been gone for 6 years so Ive lost touch. Other places I was looking into that arent that far are Cupples Station: http://www.cupplesapartments.com , The Merchandise Mart: http://www.themerchandisemart.com and Paul Brown Lofts: http://paulbrownlofts.com and I think they are cheaper than the University Heights Lofts if using the Affordable Alternative rates

Hi I noticed no one responded to your post. I will be starting in the program this fall 2011 and wanted to know if you stuck with the program. If so, can you provide any details on what the program is like and study tips. Would you say that its a complicated program, did you like it? How was the housing situation, were there certain restrictions as far as visitors or curfews? Was the program time consuming meaning as a student you wont have time for an outside job, extracurricular activities, etc.
