  1. Just saw your posting. Try Youtube.com. Look for videos that will help you. If you practice something over and over, you won't be so nervous, it will come without thinking. Take a deep breath, slow your racing mind down, and if you are unsure of what your next maneuver should be, just state to the nurse preceptor that you want to reassess your patient again. This gives you time to think over anything that you may have missed. Have you taken the CPNE again yet?
  2. Anyone in NC get hired as an Excelsior RN graduate? I am a paramedic considering Excelsior but the NC BON said although they will accept Excelsior grads to take the state exam here and obtain your nursing license, there is no guarantee that you can find a job. They stated that most of the big hospitals in NC will NOT hire Excelsior nurses.
  3. Has anyone taken the TEAS test at a community college here in North Carolina? Can you give me an idea of the questions asked on the exam? I need specifics, not just general statements. I have done the study guide, and the online testprepreview.com, but everyone that I have asked states that these questions are not asked on the test, they are just basics-not advanced questions and are of no help at all. Can anyone give me an idea of exactly what to study? If you have taken the test, please give me an idea of some of the questions that you had to answer. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
