  1. Hi Lifetime learner, Just curious if you took chem 109 at Adelphi? I just registered last night for chem 109, N 255 and N 275. For chem 109 (in Garden City) there are only 2 sections available, one starts at 7AM and the other ends at 9:30PM! I chose the PM one but since I'll most likely be commuting by train I'm afraid I won't get home until 11:30-12 . I wish they offered this class at the manhattan campus! If you don't mind me asking, how are your current classes going? What are you currently taking? Thanks, M.P.
  2. Hello, How did the transfer registration day go for everyone? I was able to sit down with an advisor and she helped me register for classes. I will be taking chem 109, N 255 and N 275. I'm not looking forward to the 5 credit chem 109 at all. Will anyone else be taking this class in the spring? Day or night? M.P.
  3. Wow, thanks for the info Maryann but unfortunately I've already applied and been accepted! I'll be registering for classes tomorrow! This really does worry me because I'm not good at chemistry at all. Is there any type of tutoring available there? I'm thinking of taking the evening class w/adamski. I hope this will be a good choice. I only saw 2 sections available and the other section starts at 7:30 in the morning which is too early for me since I'll be commuting by train from Brooklyn. One other question, I heard that you must finish chem 109 before starting any nursing classes, is this true? Thanks, M.H.
  4. Hi Melita, Thanks for the info. I am not doing the RN to BSN, I only have an A.A. but I registered on the website and called just to make sure. The admissions rep said that it was fine and I can get advised and register on the 9th instead of the 19th! Again, thanks for the help! -M.P.
  5. Hi Milkberry, You are correct I was also told that the CHEM 109 must be taken at the Garden City campus. I know it's not the greatest having to trek all the way to LI just for one class but I guess that's what we'll have to do. Let me know if you find out any more info. Thanks, M.P.
  6. Hi Melita, I have been accepted to Adelphi as a transfer too and already sent in my tuition deposit. I never received any info to attend the Transfer registration day so I'm a little annoyed! I called to find out when I could register and they told me that I would have to be advised first and gave me a date of November 19th for advisement. Is there some sort of link to this event on their website? Any info would be great! Thanks, M.P.
  7. Hi Surehands, Do you know if I will have to complete Chem 109 before taking my first nursing class? Can you take classes at both the manhattan and garden city campus? How are the professors? Any other extra info about the program would be great. Thanks, M.P.
  8. Hi, Just wondering if there are any recent adelphi students? I'll be starting there in the spring as a transfer. I've heard a few people say they don't like the program or even hate it and I'm curious why? I was very nervous already and now hearing that some people hate it I am scared! I have finished all my pre reqs except the Chem 109, only because I was told it would not transfer and I could only take that at adelphi. Does anyone know what I should expect once I am there? I signed up for the manhattan campus but was told that I could take classes at garden city as well. Is this true? Your response is greatly aprreciated! Thanks, M.P.
  9. Hi Beauty, Just curious why you hate Adelphi's program? I am going to be attending this Spring and am already pretty nervous so I'd like to know what to expect. I'm transferring from BMCC by the way. Your reply would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  10. I'm sort of in the same situation as you, tryingtobecome, except I've taken most of my pre reqs at BMCC already. My gpa isn't high enough to be able to get into BMCC's program so I too was thinking of CSI. I'll be commuting from Brooklyn. I'm also 23, I have a son, step son and husband as well so I sort of know what you're going through. Am0r, how competitive do your grades have to be to get into CSI? What is the gpa cut off? Do they look at your cumulative gpa or just your gpa for the pre reqs? Thanks!
