  1. Hey we need to be friend so you can give me the heads up on school. lol:eek:
  2. Oh wow thanks for that info!! Here I am thinking they get showers everyday! I guess I need to take a chill pill and wait until school to learn all these things huh? Thanks ya'll your your replies!!
  3. So will I be doing mostly bed baths or those walk in shower type baths? I intend on working in a nursing home, that seems to be where most of the openings are at the moment. I'd like to be at a hospital but I've noticed they usually want experienced cna's. I live in Dallas/Fort Worth btw....
  4. Just to forewarn ya'll, I'm not a CNA yet, I start school in March!! I'm sure they're going to cover and train us on most of everything I'm worried about, but I'm concerned with one certain thing, can ya'll answer this question for me? What do you do when you're bathing someone and you, well, run out of time? Like, not the end of your shift but if someone else needs you you obviously can't just leave the patient. Or any task for that matter.... Such as changing, bathing, etc.... I'm confused as how you can answer the call light if you're in the middle of doing something?
  5. Yes I had learned about Dunbar yesterday and called to ask about immunizations but it's a recording. I guess I just show up August 6th and find out if they require them or not.....
  6. Congratulations and good luck!!
  7. Good Luck, let us know how it goes!
  8. I was wondering what you had decided to do about school? After reading MissKita's review of CTK I think I'll go there. They're not that expensive and convenient class schedules.
  9. Have you checked on Trinity Valley Community College? They offer LVN/LPN and they're located in Kaufman. It's a bit of a drive but tuition was not anywhere near 18-24 thousand. That's just insane!!!
  10. I am currently seeking a school to become a cna. There is a place in Dallas called Hearts in Training. I am a tad bit curious because they don't require any shots at all and they refuse to give me the cost of tuition over the phone?? It makes no sense to me. The only thing I like about them is it only takes 4 weeks to become an aide..... Should I pursue this school further or go pay UTA $1200 to certify me and get all these shots? Does anyone know how much Hearts in Training costs? Thanks for your help in advance! :heartbeat
